frick you Phil Fulmer for only winning one crystal ball with our pro bowl rosters.

Well Phat Phil was the one that built those rosters. He didn't know he'd have to face Steve Spurrier annually.....

Yeah... no way Auburn can win the championship while Saban is at Bama.
Sure you can. We'll just try to bookend them every time to mitigate their importance.

Hence Bama's domination of probation/vacates/majors since Bryant's retirement. Bryant's dominance is 2nd to none but the reality is:
SEC champions and winning % since Coach Bryant retired in 1982:
UF - 8 75%
LSU - 6 65.6%
AU - 6 71%
UT - 5 70.7%
UA - 4 65.3%
UGA - 3 68.6%
=====================
UA's problems isn't the Phil Fulmers, the Gene Jelks, the 'AU people'....it's "nothing less than a BCS Title should be expected", in other words, you. Major #5 in a 20 year period is just around the corner, no doubt.

I don't wanna hear about LSU dominating Alabama since Bryant's retirement.
Do you even remember the 1990s as an LSU fan? Good god.
1. That's simply a factual post of last 30 years since Coach Bryant's retirement.
2. You didn't...not by me anyway. Currently 15-15-1 during that time period is just batting 500.
3. I try not to but what exactly does that have to do with post? Mine was a direct response to AllBamaDoesIsWin statement "nothing less than a BCS Title should be expected", which I thought on point.

The SEC realized that football requires speed not only on offense like the big 12, but also speed on defense... The best offense is a good defense which for the most part, the SEC has

That doesn't even count Auburn getting shafted in 83 and 2004 either.

You guys sucked until we came in the league in 1992. Looks as if Arkansas made everyone else step it up. #raisingthebar
Spurrier at UF then Saban at LSU and Bama equals raising the bar.

I don't remember UF winning a national championship in 1984.

The Gators finished third in both the Associated Press Poll and Coaches Poll, and were also named national champions by twenty-two publications including The New York Times and The Sporting News.

93*
I'll give you '83 and '04 but I refuse to give you '93. For one, you were on probation and ineligible for a bowl game. Even if you had been eligible, I don't think Auburn was better than Florida State, Notre Dame, or Nebraska that year.

So those non-poll publication championships that you won you were required to vacate? The NYT and TSN asked for them back?
I'm still confused as to what kind of national championship you were required to vacate.
(P.S. If they NYT is a valid championship, then Auburn DID win the national championship in 1983. Print the t-shirts! )

Auburn had a pretty easy schedule that year.
And Auburn's two toughest games (against UF and Bama) were at home.
