Probably not today. Our company is having a site review with a major funder Monday-Thursday next week and I have a lot of PPT slides to put together, so I will be watching this weekend from home.

Dawgs first to lose in the post season

I always expect UGA to be the first to lose in something. Like to Boise State a few years ago.

75.00% : 4-1 = 3 : AAC : #5 Cincinnati / #4 Louisville, #7 Connecticut, #8 Memphis
66.67% : 6-2 = 4 : P12 : #8 Colorado, #10 Arizona State / #7 Oregon, #1 Arizona, #10 Stanford, #4 UCLA
66.67% : 6-2 = 4 : ACC : #12 NC State, #3 Duke, / #9 Pittsburgh, #3 Syracuse, #6 North Carolina, #1 Virginia

50.00% : 2-1 = 1 : MWC : #7 New Mexico / #4 San Diego State
50.00% : 2-1 = 1 : WCC : #10 BYU / #8 Gonzaga
33.33% : 6-4 = 2 : A10 : #10 Saint Joseph's, #8 Massachusetts, #9 George Washington, #5 VCU / #5 Saint Louis, #11 Dayton
32 to 16 round
100.0% : 3-0 = 3 : SEC : --0-- // Florida, Kentucky, and Tennessee
100.0% : 3-0 = 3 : B1G : --0-- // Michigan, Wisconsin, Michigan State
100.0% : 1-0 = 1 : MWC : --0-- // San Diego State

UGA is the first team to lose in the bowl season and the tournament season. I say one year ban from postseason play.

I wonder how this will get spinned by ESPN now with the SEC holding 18.75% of the places in the Sweet 16.

Not possible. We were told by the talking heads only Florida had a chance in this thing.

That may still be the reality, but the preseason #1 is still playing, as well as a Vol team that is peaking at the right time.

To be fair, we were playing Illinois Freaking State on the ROAD. It's not easy to walk into that meat grinder and get a W.

Did the entire SEC get bounced from the NIT?
I guess maybe it really was just Florida, Kentucky, and UT that were any good.

No...did the thought ever occur to you that UGA was probably disappointed in not making the NCAAs and then had half hearted posture in NIT? Not saying that's good mind you...but it happenes and the point is that the SEC should have had more teams in the NCAA. Hell...look at the Big Ten and ACC for strong arguments why the SEC deservewd better treatment.
On another tangent..UF plays UCLA and UK plays their tough instate rival Louisville...if UK escapes that game...look out. I wanted to see UF play UCONN or Wiscy somewhere in the tourney since we barely loss to them early in the season shorthanded without Wilbekin.
Go Cats, Vols and Gators.
