They profile more than the drivers.
With tinted windows it's hard to tell who is in a vehicle anyway,so the officer may not have known what race they were.And nervousness may be one of the things in the book.
It's bad when these things go wrong,but it can happen to anyone.
I tried to use those same facts on this Bunch earlier in the thread.
They are not interested in facts. They are only interested in playing SJW and screaming racism.

Marcus and his wife just got caught up in a bad situation.
They are ok now and weren't thrown in a Nebraska jail.
I drove a group of guys to a Razorback basketball game a few years ago,I was the DD and we stopped at a rest stop.Apparently some boy scout thought we were all drinking and we got pulled over by four state troopers waiting to haul us in.
I got out and explained the situation and after they searched the vehicle we were set to go.
I got all my drinks and meals bought for me that weekend...haha.
They are ok now and weren't thrown in a Nebraska jail.

They are legally not supposed to.
The burden of proof is 100% on them in the courtroom for a reason.
The problem is that a lot of these assholes pull stunts like this that never make into a courtroom so there are no repercussions.
And if you are one of those types that "supports the cops", that's great. However, situations like this make the lives of all the good cops out there much harder. It wears down the public's trust.

These cops violated the Lattimore’s civil liberties. You can’t hold a car for an hour on nothing. This will be a classic case of some yahoo trooper who had a hunch, thought he’d be the hero with a big bust, and didn’t give a damn about the actual law. They are lucky they didn’t plant something in the car when the cops realized they fricked up.
