I don't care if the Frigger looks like Avatar on crack as long as he can read the defense & throw downfield...

Meh. I won't get on the Brantley bandwagon until he proves himself more consistently.

I think it's hilarious how some Bama fans are handing the job to McCarron over Sims.

you think driskel will get the nod by midseason?

Depends on his development in the Spring. Driskel has Tebow physical skills, but his short to mid range accuracy is HIGHLY average. He has a flaw in his throwing mechanics which triggers an odd arm slot and throws off his timing on short range throws.

I will wait to see how Brantley performs in the Spring and his first 3 games to jump on or off his bandwagon. If he's continuing to suck through the UT game, I would love to see Driskel get some meaningful PT. I think Weis could be VERY helpful to Brantley though. Is he a career saver, I don't know, but I do know there's no better QB coach in all of football.

From what malzahn had said about driskel. He should be a winner. I was disappointed when he chose uf considering his parents went to auburn, I think. And he was all about auburn.

Richt is better than Bobo as a QB's coach.

This.

Something about Sims I like.. I've read some great reviews about him.. has the arm to throw 70 yds.. on the run..

To the OP, that's a pretty good list. But shite, anything can happen. Did anyone here really think that Cam Newton had a shot at the Heisman at this time last year? A lot of people, myself included, laughed at the idea of Cam being the star that he turned out to be.

Point is, I have a feeling that the next Heisman winner will come out of nowhere. Everyone mentioned in this thread has a legitimate shot. I could definitely see Wilson, Murray, or Bray doing it. Hell, Mettenberger might be in the conversation by week 5. There's just no telling.

Obviously, I'd like to see a Hog do it, but... I don't think they give out that award to kids at Arkansas. If they did, McFadden would have won it a few years ago (sorry, I'm still bitter).
