Trending down? Lulz. Back to the bottom? Explain why we still outpaced you by 7% over those past three years then -- and still had the 4th best percentage growth in the SEC over that timeperiod? Feel free to punch the numbers for yourself.
Growth isn't linear. There are numerous regression and best fit models you could use. Other simple correlations to population could be made as well. Very simple.

It is for Mizzou. It includes MU, UMKC, UMSL, and Missouri S&T. MU main branch is like 500 mil.

I explained that your endowment growth was due to your big student enrollment jump over the past decade
Current students are a contributing factor to a university endowment?
Seriously, admins, can we ban stupid people from the boards? I know it would reduce traffic, but it would certainly enhance the quality of the board.

Feel free to design your own model and post it here. I'll even upload the yearly numbers from 01-12 in .xls for you to take the legwork out of it...
I realize that the trends are not linear. But the two points the greatest distance apart gives the best idea of the long-term trend in a simple-to-comprehend fashion that the general masses can follow and verify themselves.
If I started doing advanced modeling, there would be endless crying about the potential of skewing the numbers purposefully than there already is with the simplest linear model...

Vandy is most impressive imho. As a university community, they are a fraction of the size of some of the diploma mills on the list and still manage to amass one of the best endowments in the league.

You're lucky that Texans are cool with that. UA owns a large, very valuable tract of coal land that sits idle due to pressure from environmentalists to never lease or sell the land..

does Tech not get any of that money? what's their endowment by the way? seems like best in West Texas they'd have some oil money too.

Those are old numbers. Ole Miss is around 520 million now.
Actually, Ole Miss and Auburn both went down. Ole Miss is about 461M and Auburn is also 461M.

New numbers are here. It looks like most everyone went down between 2011 and 2012. https://www.nacubo.org/Documents/research/2012NCSEPublicTablesEndowmentMarketValuesRevisedFebruary42013.pdf

So I wonder on the list if since Vandy is not a system figure if it might in reality be higher than TAMU in College Station
Fingers crossed amirite?

Vandy doesn't surprise me. Yes their alumni base is smaller, but they tend to give more. The schools/systems at the top also tend to have the biggest enrollment, and thus eventual alumni donor pool. Arkansas has some very wealthy benefactors. UGA's is about what I expected it at. Alot of the people who will give back to the UNiversity will do it through the Athletic Assoc, which I am pretty sure is entirely separate, although most AD do end up gifting some money back to the school, though.
