The West leads 264-204-3, so West teams have won a little over 56% of the time.

The West has had a winning record against the East 17 times, the East has had a winning record 8 times, and one season the divisions went 9-9-1 against each other.

The West leads the SEC championship game series 14-12.

During the East's best run 1993-1998, the East went 57-54-3 against the West- a 50% winning percentage. A team from the East won the conference all 6 of those seasons, and the East had a winning record against the West 3 of the 6 seasons with one season being a tie.

The East also had a a run from 2005-2008 in which it went 42-34 (55%) against the West and finished with a winning record all four seasons, but a West team LSU won the conference title in 2007.

During the West's best run 2009-2016, the West went 92-40 against the East- a nearly 70% winning percentage. The West had a winning record against the east and won the conference title game all 8 of those seasons.

The East's best record against the West in a single season is 12-7 in 1998 and 2008.

The West's best records against the East in a single season are 13-2 (87%) in 2015 and 16-3 (84%) in 2010

Games involving Texas A&M and Mizzou before they joined were not included. I used on field results, so this ignores forfeits and vacated games.

The East has been terrible since adding Missouri and A&M.

2017 Georgia is the only quality SEC East team since the expansion.

Every post you make has Mizzou. That's a long con with this alter. Why not post with your main account?

page 142 of the 2018 SEC football media guide says the West has a 248-192-3 record vs the East. those numbers do not reflect the SECCG.

it also says that Vanderbilt is 13-59 vs the West. that would equal 46 of the 58 game advantage the West currently holds over the East.

So it's not as lopsided, historically, as some claim.

And it'll balance back out over the longrun.

Damn...that's incredible and hits the West is better top to bottom narrative than the East right in the jugular.

I included the SECCG and Alabama Georgia from a year ago. Adding those in, I'm still coming up one short on my West total though.

Was there a East-West conference game that went unplayed during that time frame because 248-192-3 only adds to 443 games, but 444 cross divisional regular season games should have been played by now? 18 per year for 20 years and 14 per year for 6 years.

These are just numbers. There's no implication in this thread. If anything, the overall record is closer than I would've expected.
