We are way too early into the season without including this key third set of information. Here is where each school falls in the ELOS Strength of Schedule (SOS rank and score as well as the W/L of those each team has played so far)
#1 SC (15-3 1590.7)
#8 Ole Miss (15-5 1550.5)
#9 Bama (14-6 1542.9)
#26 Ark (13-7 1526.2)
#28 Miss St (9-11 1524.2)
#30 LSU (1523.0 12-6)
#34 Auburn (1520.1 12-8)
#39 Vandy (16-6 1515.3)
#44 Florida (1511.5 12-8)
#50 A&M (1508.2 12-6)
#75 Mizzou (1490.7 13-6)
#87 Tenn 1480.0 8-11)
#90 UGA (1476.9 11-9)
#117 Kentucky (1444.6 9-12)
And just because..
#7 Tex 17-3 1556.1
#69 OU 1495.5 13-7
#122 USCw 1430.5 6-14
Context matter.

Yea my first thought was
Tier A - Georgia
Tier B - A&M, Tennessee, Kentucky
Tier C & D - who cares
SEC is total shite this year.

“We can’t tell if these stats mean anything unless we know if they’ve played good teams or bad teams!”
“But how do we know which teams are good?”
“We look at the stats, obviously.”

Yep. Mine too. A&M is a step down from the dogs. But all the rest is, statistically, pretty even.

Or you know... look at the stats of the teams each team has played and figure out who is inflating their numbers on cupcakes...
I'm sorry but running up the score on Arkansas State or Ball State or Nevada or New Mexico State or Kent State or Akron or .... does not really show us anything other than who wants to pad their stats by leaving their starters in.
4 games into the SEC slate, ill start trusting the O and D numbers wihtout caring as much about who they have played. Through game #5, yeah context matters a ton
