Nick Saban (Alabama). Perhaps Mr. Saban deserves a category unto himself. Afterall, he is walking around with five national championship rings. Saban is the gold standard in college football coaching and likely deserves his own distinction…

Nick is in a league all his own. Is what it is.

The tiers go from there.

That thing is worthless. There really isn’t much to add. Just turrible.

Orgeron is probably loved by his players more than any other coach in the SEC. That’s a very valuable trait. He reminds me of the old school coaches like Pat Dye.

Way too many tiers dude. Might as well have like 14 tiers and call it a ranking. At max 3 tiers:

National Championship possibilities in any 4 year cycle:
Saban, Ed, Smart

National Championship possibilities in any 8 year period:
Gus, Fisher, Mullen

The other 8 dudes.

Leach?! You really think he is a good HC that will win 8 games? That is what you are putting Leach in that group with others who are winning 8 games or more. Many experts have MSU going 5-7 or 6-6 this fall.

Check this out!
Here are win projections for every team in the SEC:

Alabama Crimson Tide: 10.9 – 1.7
Georgia Bulldogs: 10.2 – 2.4
Florida Gators: 9.7 – 2.7
LSU Tigers: 9.6 – 2.6
Auburn Tigers: 9.1 – 3
Texas A&M Aggies: 8.9 – 3.2
Kentucky Wildcats: 7.0 – 5.0
Tennessee Volunteers: 6.3 – 5.7
Ole Miss Rebels: 6.1 – 5.9
Missouri Tigers: 6.0 – 6.0
South Carolina Gamecocks: 5.8 – 6.2
Arkansas Razorbacks: 5.0 – 7.0
Mississippi State Bulldogs: 4.6 – 7.4
Vanderbilt Commodores: 3.2 – 8.8

Yeah, Saban is in a league of his own. 5 national titles at Bama and one at LSU screams dominance that no one can match in the game right now
