Saban comment makes sense, you can't deny that UF has EVERYTHING a HC could dream of to play for titles year in and year out. If Saban was UF's HC I bet he'd have done even better.
even better?

What a dumbass

I think UGA and UF are better than LSU, but UGA may be ranked ahead of UF because though the state of Florida produces more blue chip football players than any state, there are not only 4 major colleges in state, but the whole nation recruits the state hard.
this is true.

You are full of shite. You are nothing compared to Bama, and LSU. Hell, even UGA is a better gig than you idiots.

Except he won it with Saban talent.
And then Miles restocked LSU, built a better team, and split two games with 2011 Bama, a team that fielded what was arguably the best college defense ever assembled.

After a little more thought, and considering MsState is about to have the state to themselves due to the inevitable OM death penalty it may very well be the best job in the country. I suspect Nick Saban to retire shortly due to this. He wants to retire on top

In all honesty, you can jumble 2-5 in any way and it wouldn't be wrong.

But the state of Mississippi has better in-state talent than Arkansas and its closer to the top talent in Lousiana, Alabama, Florida, etc.

People repeat this ad nauseum about about Ole Miss but they put almost no MS talent in the league. And the few that they do are guys barely hanging on to rosters. Their high profile players are almost all from out of state.

Eli - LA
Willis - TN
Tunsil - FL
Oher - TN
M. Wallace - LA

I'd love to see a list of all the star MS players that Ole Miss has put in the league. Moncrief and the Jerry brothers are like the only ones I can think of

Love them or hate them but A&M is above Auburn and Tennessee imo

They have more resources than anyone in sec.

What time frame?Deuce was a long time pro. Senquez Golson, derrick Jones, John jerry, Jeremy liggins, donte Moncreif, Carlos Thompson, bradley sowell, annd Channing ward currently play. Not bad considering this state puts less players into the league than all sec states save Arkansas.

My $02. cents.

Auburn and to a lesser extent Florida are not the jobs they were 10 years ago.

Deuce - good player, forgot about him been out of the league for 10 years
Senquez Golson - hasn't played a down
Derrick Jones - hasn't made a roster yet
John Jerry - included him
Jeremy Liggins - barely played at OM/ hasn't made a roster
Donte Moncreif - included him
Carlos Thompson - 2 career tackles since 2015
Channing Ward - 5 career tackles in 5 games

I'm not saying their is no talent in MS. I'm just saying that Ole Miss certainly doesn't have the monopoly on it they get credited for when people talk about all the NFL talent in MS.

Fletcher Cox, KJ Wright, Jon Banks, Gabe Jackson, McKinney, Chris Jones all went to MSU.
Jalen Collins, Stevan Ridley went to LSU. Steen went to Bama. Daren Bates and Shon Coleman went to Auburn

The list of Mississippi born players in the NFL in the last 15 years isn't very impressive. The list of bonafide stars is basically just Deuce, Ken Lucas and Fletcher Cox. Also, whoever said OM has such a monopoly? State leans far more heavily on Mississippi players and always have. We are much closer to the high population areas in west Tennessee than any of the ones in Mississippi and can and do recruit out of state more. And when you look at the list of Mississippians in the NFL we absolutely should. But like I said before. The talent in this state is greatly exaggerated in my opinion.

Mississippians in the NFL

UF should be at number 2. I'd even say you could swap UF & Bama. Bama is on top because of Saban and the success he's had, but just looking at the job itself it's hard to top UF.

Bama is at the top because of Saban. UF is lower because recently UF just hasn't done much. That's the way these rankings work. People will claim it's about HS talent or any number of things but it's really not. These things are ranked on program history, ESPECIALLY recent history and always will be.

That said, it's just a sportswriter trying to fulfill his offseason quota. Some might claim otherwise but it's really not science or even filled with fact based claims - just an opinion piece.

Make Ole Miss 11 and it's accurate.
