I have a hard time believing 2 mediocre at best Big 12 teams are now considered top tier SEC teams in their 2nd season. It's either a pure coincidence or the SEC is just down this year. Other than Missouri in 2007 and A&M 1998 they have both been non-factors.

God these Auburn fans are so butthurt. I hope A&M beats the frick out of them this weekend so they can go away for the rest of the year.

You should've heard how silent it was in Athens after the game, for all the talk we'd heard of injuries they still thought we really had no chance...and then they lost by 15 between the hedges

Whats with all the Auburn hate?

Its coming from all sides from them.

Is it an inferiority complex thing? Dont like the new guys having any success? Couldn't talk much smack last year because they were terribad?

You've modified your rant. That "two years ago" line didn't work out for you so well last time.

And it's not likely that either will finish at the top of their division, let alone the league.

Indiana beat Penn State who beat Michigan, but hey if Mizzou beat them that makes them overrated.

It does require a bit of rationalization by average SEC fan.

There's no doubt that both came into the league looking to prove a point. The media made it a plot line that "these Big-12 pussies are gonna come in and get their arse whooped." Certainly, that provided a spark. They have proven it.

But to be fair, especially in the case of A&M, I don't give a damn what conference you put them in Manziel is simply unstoppable.

Mizzou was always a solid program and they've beaten Vandy and a Georgia team that Tennessee in all honestly had beaten and fumbled it away. The next two weeks will define Mizzou's season. They're sitting pretty right now though.

But, to everybody outside the SEC it just proves how overrated the conference is.

The same people used our 10+ win seasons as a sign of strength of the Big 12 when trying to compare to the SEC.

Folks cant have it both ways.

Glad to be here. Hopefully we compete and leave it all on the field every week. Thats all we can ask. Folks will either accept us or not. Respect us or not. Can spend to much time as a Mizzou fan worrying about all that.

What do you expect Les to say? Texas A&M won their bowl and had a top 5 finish last year. LSU got rocked in their bowl and finished outside the top ten. He said it was going to be a rough first couple years, and his team was worse than A&M last year. I am surprised he didn't praise us even more.

Or maybe A&M finally recovered from Fran and Sherman and had just been underachieving? Maybe the last ten years A&M wasn't performing up to its potential? A middling Big 12 program wasn't A&M's ceiling...

Get over it, deal with it? Life changes man, I don't know what else to tell you. We really didnt screw up the schedules that much, especially when the inevitable happens and we go to 9 conference games

What is up with Mizzou fans Aubsession on this site?
No, we will not be your rivals. There is at least 9 other SEC schools in front of you in that line. We like our rivalries to be competitive.

Yeah I think an Auburn/Mizzou rivalry might be as lopsided as the A&M/Auburn one.

They've probably already got an Auburn Fan draft thread ready with their mouse hovering over submit for late Saturday night.

Good thing we won't be playing you too often then. Y'all haven't been competitive with anyone for decades.
