On a serious note, Nola and atlanta should host the SECCG. Nola hosted the most superbowls prior to Katrina. They could host big games

Exactly. Atlanta is closer to all of the SEC schools, sans Fayetteville. Oxford and Starkville are about the same distance to either ATL or NO, but none of those 3 will probably have to worry about the logistics of it.

this
the winner will have to play in nola again, and in the case of the SEC playing in the BCS title game, the loser will most likely have to play in nola again.
ATL is perfect imo.

You could probably draw a big crowd at Starkville!!i

Because Atlanta is closer for eight of the twelve SEC teams?

How would y'all feel about Charlotte? Big city, big stadium. Just wondering.

bout LP field in Nashville?
I would prefer this to the Superdome. Call me a purist, but football was meant to be played outside. LP Field is newer, nicer and more centrally located.

Last time I checked, there's no SEC school in the state of North Carolina.

I don't see it as being and advantage for any side. 80 miles from UGA campus, and 109 miles from auburn. I think it is in the best spot in between the divisions. Atlanta is not a UGA town with all the transplants, and Tech just down the street.

Plus, Vandy will never make it so no one will have to worry about a home-field advantage.

LSU travels well enough to make it a split game.
It's never been a 50/50 crowd the 4 times we've been there. UGA and UT dominated the attendance.

This--that's why New Orleans is out. But shouldn't there be a deal where the loser doesn't go back to Atlanta for the Peach? See LSU 2005.
ETA: If A&M ever joined the SEC, Dallas and Houston could then become possible venues.
