How many times has the #2 team in the SEC been in the West over the years? There should have been an Iron Bowl rematch in 2013 instead of Auburn getting to play Mizzou just off the top of my head but I don't remember Bama fans bitching about that back then
We all play by the same agreed upon rules to get to Atlanta. When OU and Texas get here I'm sure the rules will change but for now we're doing it the way it's always been.

If you do overall standings from top to bottom without divisions. UT is #2 in the overall standings with Bama @#3

True but it is by division and so LSU gets to go. I remember when some jackoff was bitching about how the NFC south had a bunch of shitty teams with bad records and the East was loaded and had better teams than the South’s Champ and the division stuff should go away. Well like a year or two later it was reversed and the South had all the good teams and everyone in the East sucked. Divisions have good and bad years, it’s been the West lately that’s been stacked and the East champ has benefitted, now the west is down and people are having a fit because a shitty LSU team won the right to most likely get bitched by UGA. It is what it is…

Divisions will go away once Oklahoma and Texas join. Then it will be the top 2 teams play for the conference. Like the Big12 setup is currently now.

Just my opinion let’s say it was Tennessee we are just way too banged up even on a neutral field.
We don’t have depth enough this year..
Bama would have the best shot and I think that team would actually step up to play in a championship game..
