- Alabama, Auburn or LSU have represented the West in 22 of the 26 SECCG (Arkansas 3, Mississippi State 1, Ole Miss 0, Texas A&M 0)

- Florida, Georgia or Tennessee have represented the East in 23 of the 26 SECCG (Missouri 2, South Carolina 1, Kentucky 0, Vanderbilt 0)

- Since the SEC Championship Game began, only the 6 teams noted above have won the SEC Title (Alabama 7, Florida 7, LSU 4, Auburn 3, Georgia 3, Tennessee 2).

- The last 10 years of appearances (since 2008)
1. Alabama (6)
2. Florida (4)
3. Auburn (3)
3. Georgia (3)
5. Missouri (2)
6. LSU (1)
6. South Carolina (1)

- The last 10 years of titles (since 2008)
1. Alabama (5)
2. Auburn (2)
3. Florida (1)
3. Georgia (1)
3. LSU (1)

- Only 1 of the 10 games since 2008 has been a one-score margin (2012 Alabama 32 - Georgia 28). The average MOV is 22.4 pts. The median MOV is 20.0 pts.

- The East went 6-1 from 1992 to 1998. The series was 4-4 from 1999 to 2006. Then, the West went 9-2 from 2007 to 2017. Overall, the West leads 14-12.

- The rankings all-time by win % in the SECCG
1. LSU (80%) (4-1)
2. Alabama (64%) (7-4)
3. Florida (58%) (7-5)
4. Auburn (50%) (3-3)
4. Georgia (50%) (3-3)
6. Tennessee (40%) (2-3)
7. Arkansas (0%) (0-3)
7. Missouri (0%) (0-2)
7. Mississippi State (0%) (0-1)
7. South Carolina (0%) (0-1)

- There have been 9 Top 10 Matchups. There have been 5 Top 5 matchups. There have been 2 #1 vs #2 matcups (2008/2009 Alabama vs Florida) and 1 #2 vs #3 matchup (2012 Alabama vs Georgia).

- There has never been a matchup in which neither top was ranked in the Top 10. The lowest ranked highest ranked team was 1993 : #9 Florida vs #16 Alabama, and the highest combined rankings of the teams was 2002 : #4 Georgia vs #22 Arkansas.

- The lowest ranked teams to play in the game were : #23 Arkansas in 1995, #23 Mississippi State in 1998 and #22 Arkansas in 2002.

- There have only been 6 "upsets" in the SECCG in which the higher ranked team lost to the lower ranked team.

1994 : #6 Florida 24, #3 Alabama 23
1999 : #7 Alabama 34, #5 Florida 7
2001 : #21 LSU 31, #2 Tennessee 20
2005 : #13 Georgia 34, #3 LSU 14
2008 : #2 Florida 31, #1 Alabama 20
2009 : #2 Alabama 32, #1 Florida 13
2017 : #6 Georgia 28, #4 Auburn 7

There has only been 1 game in which a team ranked 11 or more spots lower won the game - 2001 #21 LSU beating #2 Tennessee. This is also the only game in which a team lost a clear shot at the national championship to a team that did not take it's place (such as 2008 Florida-Alabama, 2009 Florida-Alabama, 2017 Auburn-Georgia).

UT knocked our starting Qb and RB in that game. Let's not forget about what Mr. Domanick Davis did that night as well after Toefield went down with a torn ACL. It's actually quite amazing that LSU beat that TN team and scored 31 point with 285 yards of total offense. Our kicker, John Corbello, also had the game of his life. Dude was one of the worst college kickers I've ever seen and made 3 45+ yard field goals in that game.

Just thought I'd point it out so you could edit before someone made a snide remark. I'm practicing not being a bitch. Probably will do as well as we have in the East and the SECCG.

First and last one for State, but at least they have that over OM when they argue about who's less mediocre
