I've thought about this game quite a bit. As of yesterday I thought Bama would keep it close with UF pulling away late to win by 14.
I'm going to revise that. I think Bama's defense is the best UF will have seen all year. But I also think UF's defense is the best Bama has seen all year.
But God help me, Saban is not going to get embarassed. And I think UF might be a little too overconfident right now.
Therefore, it would not shock me at all to see Bama win, but I'm going to play it safe and say UF does not cover the spread but wins 31-24.

Tebow's "Don't worry - I'll save us" speech after the Ole Miss loss gave me a chuckle. Tebow is a colossal clod - dumber than a sack of hammers. He's a magnificent physical specimen but his gray matter is jello.
The way to attack Florida is to disable Tebow's brute force with superior brute force. Completely kill the running game and force him to pass and defend it the best you can. Picks would turn this game around quick. Tebow thinks he's Superman - and if Alabama covers well or picks him he'll try to carry the load all on his own - that's what I think Saban wants him to do. I think we'll see man to man coverage the entire game and 8 men in the box every time there's a back in the Florida backfield. I think Alabama will blitz more in this game than any game this year.
On defense Florida must focus on stopping the run. I expect Alabama to plod along as they have all season and put together 4 or 5 scoring drives scoring 21 to 28 points.
If Alabama can't keep pressure on Tebow and defend the pass well - Florida cruises.
All that said - I think Alabama plays Florida well on offense and defense - In the end turnovers, penalties, amd special teams will decide the victor. I don't want to predict who that will be - I'll pull for Alabama and hope for an exciting game.

Every game we play, it seems that team's D is supposed to be the best defense we have seen all season.
LSU- oh man, they are talented all over the field. 51-21.
Kentucky- leading the SEC in defense. 63-5.
Jawja- rivalry game, Ellerbe coming back, blah blah blah-49-10
Vandy- leading the SEC in sacks, giving up the fewest rushing yards. 42-14
USCe- top 5 defense in the nation, arguably the best in the country. 56-6
FSU- top 10 defense, rivalry game, slows the Gators down in the rain- 45-15.
I know some of those points came from special teams and defense, but still.
I do think Bama has the best COMBO of O and D we have faced all year.

We know the feeling.
Same with the running game. Having said that, I think this is going to be a whole lot like the 90's SEC CG. A close hard physical game. Good luck to yall, just not too much.
We know the feeling.

Bama 31
Florida 17
This is gonna feel a lot like the last time we played in the Georgia Dome. An underdog Bama team that should dominate both sides of the ball.
The spread isn't built for this type of D. Remember Bama vs. UF 05 or hell remember Bama at. UF '06. There was no reason we should have even been in that game, but we kept it close.

UF>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Clemson
We should've beaten you by 14 pts. and UF is worlds better than the Tigers.

You can't judge a team based on one outcome. You don't see me throwing up UF's loss to Ole Miss as the reason we'll beat them.
Look at Bama's total body of work the LSU game was clearly an outlier where emotion, a tough road atmosphere, and a not 100% Cody played a huge effect.
Florida isn't built like LSU. You guys have a more physical O'line than they do. Florida is built on speed, but Bama is built on power. Power > Speed in College Football.
That's why OU beat Texas Tech, it's why UT beat OU. It's why LSU won the NC last year.
And there's no reason to call out Tebow he's a class act. I'm not a fan of UM but I like to see Tebow do well.

Why? Because they beat the dog shite out of your team, or are you just clairvoyant? I'm curious why LSU hates on 'Bama so much. It's kinda lame... like you're a jealous ex-girlfriend or something.

Two ref calls and one bad Bama play caused a 21 pt swing for LSU. I say this eventhough I risk sounding like a corndogger from 2007 talking about the Bama/LSU game.

If bama were in the east they would have 2 losses. West is down this year with LSU and Auburn struggling.
If LSU had had a veteran QB this thread would not exist. We would be predicting how bad UF beats LSU again.
UF 31 (at least)
UA 17 (at most)
alternative universe:
UF 51
LSU 40
