Would they have done this to Barry; KH, JB?

I would imagine they would do this for anyone who is currently running for office in a extremely polarizing election.

I am not sure what is so complicated.

Everyone asks to keep politics out of sports. We should be applauding the SEC here

People say that, but what they generally mean is "keep people and ideas I personally disagree with out of sports."

Ok no problem here as long as they are consistent or I will point it out.

No. A president showing up is different from a candidate showing up.

Don't blame the SEC. It's fine if he just wants to watch the game, but it's a football game, not a campaign rally.

Really? Link?

That wouldn’t surprise me. ABC probably shut it down.

He is a former president and is afforded the same treatment as a president in general.

Hell, many former presidents still got briefings even after leaving office.

It probably pained them to acknowledge his attendance on the telecast.

It just boggles the mind how any thinking person could support the Cackling Communist airhead. So you don't "like" Trump for whatever ridiculous reason the media has pounded into your head for 9 years...who cares? You aren't going to be hanging out with him on weekends at Mar-a-Lago. I swear..."sticking it to Trump" by voting for a woman clearly incompetent and stupid is only hurting yourself and the country.

I don't really care for Trump, but I'll be proudly voting for him for the first time this year.

I didn't think it could get worse for the country than when neocon republicans were running things. I was wrong.

The SEC does not sell commercials to anyone, that is up to the broadcasting network.

He showed up for a cheer. It was a cheap political move.

I doubt he stayed to see the end. He’s done that a few times now. Show up, screw up security and leave at the start of the 4th quarter.

I get this point but the broadcast was littered with Kamala ads. Don’t show any political ads if this is the approach.

The ads are paid for homey, the issue is Trump wants free publicity.

I'm sure he could appear if he was wiling to pay for it.

And if he ends up on TV the equal time rule would apply which could end up being a mess.
