Interesting. That does match up with this:
quote:
The firing of offensive coordinator Cam Cameron has triggered a dramatic renaissance for the Ravens' dormant offense.
Since dismissing Cameron on Dec. 10 following a 31-28 overtime loss to the Washington Redskins and replacing him by promoting quarterbacks coach Jim Caldwell, the offense has been resurgent.

If Mett 'has it', the O will be a bit different by the time that game comes around.

“This is something that I think is a wake-up call for everybody,” Rice said. “You never know when your day is going to be called. Nobody wants that to happen, but it’s a wake-up call for everybody around the building. The expectation is to win around here. We want to win. There’s a reason why you put the Lombardi Trophy [banner] in the indoor facility. It’s the only thing you can see. It’s the biggest sign in here.”
The reason they started winning was because they needed a wake up call

So why was Cameron fired if his offense won them the Super Bowl?

If we can get that Mett right out the gate against TCU, that'll be a good deal.

So you're saying Cam Cameron was expendable enough to be made an example of so fire could be lit under the Ravens asses?

Because the Cajun Maffia was paving his way to LSU

So..............CC was keeping them from waking up?

“I was looking back on two Pro Bowls in five years. I was looking back on the amount of receiving yards I have. I was looking back at so many of the good things,” Rice said. “I was able to start my career off with Cam Cameron. Right now, we are at a point in our season where we definitely have to focus a lot more and execute. Cam called a great game last week. Obviously, we didn’t win, but he doesn’t put on the pads for us so we can’t be naïve about that.”
Players weren't executing

I sure hope so. I am excited about our Offensive potential. Of course I have been that way for four years, only to watch it crumble

I don't think it was a motivation thing. I think it was a 'Let Flacco air it out more' thing. That's the impression I have anyway.

That's what i totally said
They weren't executing HIS offense. So they got another guy to do it. I guess it worked out for them

So then it was a play calling thing?

ESPN article
quote:
Cam Cameron says the Baltimore Ravens' decision to fire him as offensive coordinator was just what the team needed. "It was a brilliant move," Cameron told The New York Times. "Everyone on the team took a look in the mirror after that." When Cameron was fired on Dec. 10, the Ravens were 9-4 and still rather productive by averaging 344.4 yards on offense. However, the Ravens have thrived under new offensive boss Jim Caldwell, averaging 406.2 yards over the final three regular-season games and 424.7 yards during their run to the Super Bowl. "We were inconsistent, and if I'm in charge, I'm saying, 'Why are we inconsistent?' We need to get the team's attention," Cameron told the Times. Cameron also harbors no ill will toward the Ravens

You expect players to trash him?

So, CC is a good OC for...........beginner football.

quote:no. he was fired because he knew he could get the LSU job and that is so much better than an NFL gig
I see a problem in the Ravens offense and no matter which way you look at it, Cameron seems to be the problem.
