My favorite pulled pork BBQ sandwich has vinegar based, ketchup sauce and hot slaw.

If ever in Nw Alabama, try one at Dick Howell's in Florence. I believe it is the 2nd oldest continued operation in AL. Family owned, family operated and vastly family staffed. Never changed the process or expanded. So damn tasty, but we are all biased products of what we grew up on.

Nope. Hated it worst than the Taliban or AQI.

It always smells so damn good, but them...

They do cook a lot of great chicken and and pita, so I managed.

I have been eating mutton and got all my life, they are very tasty

My favorite meats*
#1 Fish
#2 Bison
#3 Lamb
#4 Game birds (including wild turkey)
#5 Pork (non commercial)
#6 Beef (local)
#7 Small game (squirrel / rabbit)
#8 Goat

Do not eat supermarket chicken or turkey. Not a fan of industrial beef or pork

*Bacon is at the top but just a cut of pork, not the whole pig

Do Texans know how to smoke a Boston butt? It’s a superior meat to the rubber tire brisket

Not in agreement with nor could I be decisive enough to set my own order, but I added my thoughts on each

quote:

#1 Fish - Faves- Freshwater: bluegill; Saltwater: Wahoo or Mahi; smoked: salmon
#2 Bison - yes; as good as beef
#3 Lamb - tastes like a goats arse smells in an Iraqi meat mkt in Jul
#4 Game birds (including wild turkey) - fried wild turkey breast for breakfast; Dove and dumplings; quail about any way; teal breast split open and stuffed with cream cheese and a jalapeno wrapped in bacon... omg!
#5 Pork (non commercial) - yes; can't beat it
#6 Beef (local) - yes; when we were in KS we'd get a whole slaughterd cow once a year and process it. Couldnt be beat
#7 Small game (squirrel / rabbit)- both awesome; I just made a spanish braised rabbit last night. so damn tasty
#8 Goat - see lamb

I'd add deer and elk as well, but know some don't like it

Boston butt

The most versatile meat.

Makes great Kalua pulled pork and you can cheat and to it in the crock pot without losing a thing for sandwich, juicy flavor

Texas has the best BBQ.

Even their gas station BBQ Rudy's and Buccees have good BBQ.

Anyone can do pork BBQ.

I was in Alabama working a few years back and stopped at a BBQ place. Never looked at the menu and when I ordered brisket the elderly lady gave me a funny look and said Honey's all we has is poke.

OK not a problem but the worst part was they were out of banana pudding.

gas station

Mississippi is the king of great gas station food. Only place I've ever seen work crews line up out the door for a meat and 3 plate plus a fresh dessert at gas stations.

Also, the dive looking, but great tasting Fri-Sat only joints are a delicious uniqueness to MS.

White BBQ sauce, however, is an abomination before the Lord. Mayo on pork? No, just, no.

White BBQ sauce on pork isn't my thing, but I love it on chicken.

The frick it does you chicken finger loving uncultured neck. This red abortion that country folks call gumbo is a crime against nature. Cook it all you want, but don't call that joke of a roux, "gumbo".

Yes, I will fight about this.

Brisket on my smoker is good.
