Think you may have just forgot about a team...

Or two

Upcoming schedule is brutal. Bama is fricked.

They will have some regression just because its hard to keep going up from where they are right now but if they were going to fold, we would have seen it happen in the Florida or Auburn game already.

That team is way more mentally tough than previous years.

We'll lose some games but we already won the most difficult game a SEC team will play this season - on the road in Knoxville. And we led by double digits basically the entire 2nd half.

We'll lose some because we have flaws, but we've proven we can win games against anyone in the league. I'm sure at some point soon we'll prove we can lose to anyone in this league too, as is tradition.

Tier 1
- Alabama
- Arkansas
- LSU
- Tennessee

- Missouri

Tier 2
- Mississippi St
- Ole Miss
- Florida
- Auburn w/ Cooper

Tier 3
- Texas A&M
- Georgia

Really cool that Kentucky decided to be good again right before we head to Rupp

Agreed but I would move Bama and Tennessee into their own tier as of right now

This post kinda illustrates the reason I'm giving you a hard time. There really shouldn't be any assuming this early in college basketball, especially in conference play. Outside looking in I see road games at State and A&M as tough outs. Bama is a fringe basketball program like the rest of the conference, outside of KY and maybe FL. There will be multiple ups and downs throughout a season.

Oh there are no assurances or assumptions. Can lose any night. Especially this program in late February. Lord fvckin knows we all know.

But a road trip to Columbia or College Station is definitely an easier one than Knoxville or Fayetteville. Any road win is a good one.

All joking aside, I would

Tennessee is still the clear favorite imo but hard not to put Bama right there with them from what they have done so far.

I'm honestly just ecstatic we can realistically go 7-3 or 6-4 over our first 10. @ Knoxville, Auburn, Rupp and LSU plus home games with Florida, Arkansas, LSU and Kentucky...... I'll take it.

Exactly my point about the last 5/8 being on the road. Covid world eases that up a bit but it can't take away the travel aspect.

Bama is looking good thus far, and I'm a bit surprised, for no reason other than my loosely based expectation. Oats is impressive. I realized after the TN win that Bama would be fun to follow this season.

It's actually huge to build up a 4-0 start like that. Really allows teams to ease up and relax in a good way.

When Auburn grabbed the lead back towards the end of the 2nd half, I fully expected them to hold on but Bama had a strong answer for every run it seems.

The most impressive thing is how well they have been able to play defense even with the style they use, allows them to survive cold streaks that will come when shooting the ball like they do from deep.

A light came on after the WKU debacle. We have a good roster and they've figured it out.

I'm sure we're in for some collapses, but at this point we've at least built a bit of a buffer with our resume to withstand some likely late season disasters.

Same - the culture shift has taken hold. Those moments used to result in "here we go again" possessions. Those are gone now.

It took 3-4 weeks for them to figure out playing team defense together, but we have a roster of long athletes and combined with 2 elite defensive players in Bruner and Herb it has all gelled pretty well. Primo and Ellis getting more minutes has significantly upgraded our defensive abilities as well.

Quinnerly and Shackelford are horrendous defenders, but Oats has pretty much kept them off the floor together or only paired them with Bruner/Herb.
