I would hope not. We've been saying switch situations.

LSU fan says 'WCS can't guard a PG effectively for 40 minutes'

Kentucky fans grab all their pitchforks because they read 'WCS is a below average player and deserves no accolades'

I don't understand it. Fans of average teams look to these types awards to show them that their teams are in an upswing. But the insecurity of the elite teams' fans always outshine them.

Which is the point. You can't make a statement that he can guard 1-5 if he can only do it on switch situations. Those two are not one in the same.

and I've been saying there is a difference in switch situations and straight up guarding a guy. We've been through this for like 2 pages now.

even after I've complimented the guy 4-5 times in this very thread. It's very odd.

your initial statement was "can guard 1-5"

then you went to"can do it off of switches"

then to "can guard average quickness pgs"

jeez, I'm outta here

Where did I say straight up? He can guard 1-5 at times. How many can do that in college or the NBA?

Ok, man. We get your intentions. Willie can guard average quickness PGS at times when they're coming off of ball screens and he switches

but not

Willie can guard 1-5.

Cause he can't guard 1-5. Guarding on a switch is not the same as saying he can guard 1-5. If you say a player can guard 1-5. Then you're saying he can guard any position on the court straight up. That's what that statement means. Being able to guard on a switch is not the same. There are very few NBA players that can guard 1-5. WCS will not be one of them.

Well maybe a slip there at first.

Not that I meant straight up the whole game. Big difference.

It's silly that Kentucky fans should even have to defend a Naismith finalist as Defensive POY (not even SEC POY) because some other fans are claiming their favorite player "got robbed". Mickey is very good, but to act like WCS isn't deserving when he defends as well as he does but may not have the stats because of the platoon system that Cal runs is silly.

agree with this statement and also agree that UK has a major advantage that they can switch instead of hedge

willie will be a defensive beast in the NBA
