Best single-season conf record since expansion
26-3 (2013 Vanderbilt)
1994 UT was 24-5 in conference...and still, UT is at the bottom of the list overall.

Oddly enough, Vandy did not make CWS that year and LSU went 2Q in Omaha
Such a frustrating Super vs Louisville after the ridiculous regular season. Made up for it the next 2 years with back-to-back trips to the CWS finals. It's all about peaking at the right time.

Yeah what's crazy is I'd opine that the 2014 team that finally broke through and won a title was probably the 4th or 5th best team Corbin has fielded at Vandy.

Yeah 2011, 2013 and 2015 were all likely better than 2014. Jury is still out on this year's team.

Surprises, for me, is Ole Miss at 6 ahead of A&M. I thought the Aggies would have more of an impact in baseball, especially since Ole Miss has to fight State and Southern Miss for in state recruits.
To be fair, are fighting with the fricking longhorns, tcu, tech, baylor, rice, cougar high, and a truck load of other programs competing in division 1. So, we have a large pond from whence to fish, but errbody's fishing in it.
Either way, I think we have simply underperformed, for the most part. Recruiting has not been the main issue.

I'd add his 2007 to the list as well

For sure. I've basically blocked that year out. That team might have been the most talented but peaked way too soon and had no real post season experience.

That was right at the beginning of the BBCOR bats and we did not have a team built for TD Ameritrade. UCLA won the CWS by basically throwing batting practice and watching balls die at the warning track.

absolutely, and the bats have slightly improved as well. hitting a raised-seam ball with the original BBCOR bats was like trying to hit with a rolled up newspaper.

I can see that.
One of the disadvantages of being in a great recruiting spot is that everyone and their uncle is also there trying to get those recruits. Sometimes its better to be a smaller market where you can a ton of the talent.

Dave Serrano (2012 - 2017) - 65 games under .500 (average of -10.83 per season)
Good Lord! Serrano was horrible.

He's a pretty poor poster on this board as well.
