Say what you want about basketball and football but 8 CWS appearances and essentially being the father of SEC baseball is far from 2nd tier.

Oh, look -- butt hurt LSU fans telling us how marginal we are from the loser's bracket(again).

Just another Mainieri team that is obviously going to meltdown when the bright lights come on. Talented -- but mentally weak. Just like their coach.

I'm not going to lie. With it being tourney time, I get insanely jealous every time I see your sig pic. I wish we had something like that at Alex Box. I can't even imagine that type of atmosphere at an LSU baseball game.

1 good year out of every 5, I see you've really raised your expectations.

Let's see after his first 2 seasons rebuilding the mess Polk left our program in,

2011- won regional, were one game away in Super Regionals from making the CWS

2012- won 40 games, winning SEC record, won the SEC tourney. Unfortunately lost in the regional but that shite happens sometimes.

2013 - won over 40 games, winning SEC record, so far have made the semifinals in the SEC tourney and will host a regional.

We've had 3 solid years and the program is trending upward.

FWIW rumor is that Corbin is making between $650 - $750K annually and has bonuses tied in to on field success. Reason why VU has been able to turn away Oregon and others is because we have given him everything he has asked for, next is a HD video screen for Hawkins Field.

I imagine at this point he is done shopping any vacancies and rumor is he would like to transition to the AD one day (ala Ray Tanner) which would be a great pick for our prgrams in general 10 years or so down the road.

lol didn't realize they got a new coach

How do ppl still not know about this?

Also @ those that are still on the Bertman-Laval transition between Tanner-Holbrook, Holbrook has done a pretty good job with this team imo. It's not nearly as talented as the last 3 years.

- Bullpen besides Westy/Webb isn't worth a damn
- OF production has been down significantly, losing Marzilli & Matthews has hurt this lineup
- And this team doesn't seem to have the IT factor like the past 3
