Ron Polk made Mississippi State baseball and is a HUGE reason that I am a fan of MSU baseball and as well as why I ended up choosing on attending Mississippi State University.
However, Coach Polk should have stayed retired the first time, although he did have some success when he came back to Mississippi State, he didn't have the passion and desire to go out and recruit at the level that LSU, Arkansas, South Carolina, Vandy , and Ole Miss were at that time.
The team John Cohen inherited was terrible, and it took him until his 3rd year to make a Super Regional and last year we won the SEC Tourney, this year we have 43 wins and will be hosting in Starkville.
Yes its come full circle, and Im sure Coach Polk is smiling a lot more than laughing that Mississippi State baseball is a top team again.

I never really pull against Ole Miss baseball, obviously except when they play LSU. I like Bianco and want him to do well. I'd like to see him surpass Wells as the most successful Bertman disciple, but he'll have to get to Omaha to do that.
All that being said, none of that will ever stop me from making fun of yall for not being able to break through the glass ceiling that sits just above the Super Regional round.

Mississippi St is second tier. Always will be. Second rate coaches, second rate town. And with fans like you, it's amazing to even consider them second rate.

Actually WE had the lead when we threw at Katz head, and I wouldnt have any problem at all if we did it again to him or any other LSU player. Cohen don't back down from anybody.
As much as you LSU fans try to say it could hurt or possibly end someones career
