here is the thing about little fagots like cajunbama and all of these other retards... are you 12 years old you little bitch? are you so insecure you make fun of people in marching bands, people that have more talent and diligence then you will ever have, are you such and ignorant dumbass that you relive your highschool glory days to get on a message board and make fun of people because they arent like you and you buy into stereotypes? I laugh at idiots like you because more than likely the people in band and other organizations that take hard work and talent will be your boss one day while you work for a meager wage and live in a double wide. Its alright buddy because you have those high school sport memorize to look back on, but dont worry because many of the band members in tigerband were also on athletic teams in highschool. Oh and also i would meet you on game day in my uniform and kick you arse just so the thousands of people that watch us line up can see and Alabama boy get his arse kicked like a little bitch

Not sure. My guess is 13 pages of Band talk. Not really my cup of tea. I thought people came to the SEC Rant to talk football not bands.

Cajunbama is the most bitter poster on TD.com and you'll do well to join the masses in ignoring everything he ever writes
I mean shite, other Alabama fans are embarrassed over him

People not knowing when to STFU. Broken down, there's probably only 4 pages of actual SEC band talk.

All that I really care about is what the bands contribute to the game (most of which are the cheers, at least to me). The rest are the songs they play and choose.
LSU is absolutely great at this...and I appreciate their song selection. I believe y'all even play some Jimmy Eat World?
Bama has the Rammer Jammer, and a personal favorite is the theme to the "A Team". fuggin love it.
What does piss me off about the MDB is that they ALWAYS seem to play songs from the 70's for half-time. Earth Wind and Fire is a great band, but I don't want to hear them any more, and every asshat band has played the James Bond theme song, not impressed...they shouldn't do it anymore...I would appreciate some contemporary stuff as well. They probably play all the 70's music to please all the rich boosters.
at the end of the day, I just want to hear good music with solid song selection.

most bands have to play that kind of music basically because the music of today isnt exactly written by musical geniuses

careful cajunflamer will run to the admins and tell on you for saying you are going to hit him. He can't take people picking back at him.

what exactly do you mean?
Obviously you're making a huge blanket generalization, and thats understood, so theres no point in me poking holes in it.

i am saying the play bands like earth, wind and fire because its stuff people with tap their foot too and its hard enough and musical enough for the band to play... popular music now just doesnt really have much to it and if they tried to go the dci route no one would understand wtf is goin on....but just no if you hate listening to it i bet they hate playing it more lol

True. And i didn't mean "popular" music when I said contemporary, not like top 20 hits and all that shite.
There is plenty of good music to pick from:
Radiohead
LINK
even Auburn with some Jimmy Eat World and others:
LINK
Arizona again with Red Hot Chili Peppers:

I just youtubed a couple of good modern bands (see: not from the 70's) and this is my half assed effort to back up my argument.

my point came across wrong , there is definitely stuff to be played, just depending if alabama has their own arranger its easier to play songs with musical instruments all ready written in, than to spend the money on arrangers..does that make sense I agree with your point though LSU spends a good bit of money on arrangers so we have more up to date music

aaaah.
I get it now.
well shite, the way we throw money around the football program you think they'd toss a dime or two into the music selection
