f not a current student, how much were tickets when you were a student?

In the late 70's at LSU you just showed your ID as you went in the gate.

Colleges didn't have to pay their coaches millions of dollars and were not as greedy back then.

$28 for 7 games at Bama in 92 when I was a Freshman. They went up to $5 per game by the time I graduated.

I think ours are like $10 per game. It's done by game to game basis. No packages that I'm aware of

I wonder why Auburn charges so much for theirs. $120 is steep compared to the rest of the SEC

In 2003, I paid about 55 bucks for the season at LSU and they came in a sheet and were real tickets. Anyone who requested tickets got them and no student ID was necessary. Then at some point over the next couple years they went up to about 110 dollars and you had to print them yourself. Freshman almost never got any and they scanned your ID to make sure you were in good standing with the university. If you didn't look like the person on the ID, they took it from you and that person was banned from going to games or something. Not sure on that last part, cause I used someone else's ID for two years after I graduated and got in just fine.

tennessee is $10 per game for non-sec games and i think SEC games are $15 maybe?
our system sucks really bad IMO. we are assigned seats and they are sold at a game-by-game basis. this leads to a couple of unintended bad results:
1) no one shows up early since they have an assigned seat
2) people who have good seats show up late - screws over the die hard fan who gets a bad draw
3) seat selection is random but based on "loyalty points and credit hours. loyalty points are given to students who go to a lot of sporting events - womens games are awarded more points
4) random assholes sit in the student section since it is not blocked off
5) since tickets are sold on a game-by-game basis, after we start the season 2-4, no one shows up to the games later in the season. i heard the other day that UT has not sold out the student section in like 4 years, which is sad.

oh and another thing, we have to print our ticket off online. its a piece of paper - i want a real damn ticket!

i very seldom sit in student section anymore anyways. my parents season tickets are better seats and i don't have to deal with drunk assholes who know nothing about football. i like to show up early and talk with the other people in our section who we have sat next to for 10+ years.
