I honestly believe it comes down to who has the ball last. Someone kicks a fg with under 1:00 to win. I see a very close game. Tigers 23 Cocks 20 in a defensive battle for homecoming. Can't wait to get there tonight!!!!

This is should be a great game. Mizzou is high after beating UF with their backup and having a great season thus far and USC is pissed off after getting beat by UT. Anyone know if Shaw's going to play? I ask because every time they say he'll be out for x amount of time he finds away to defy the odds and return.
At any rate, I like Mizzou's odds in this game.

42-17 because pinkel won't want to make you guys feel bad
As bad as the 31-3 lashing we gave mizzou last year? I remember the mizzzzou posters saying it was the worst loss since texas beat them sometime before that.

From what I hear he is dressing but isn't expected to play.

without Connor Shaw, it won't be pretty. Mizzou alot to USCe very little.

Actually Connor Shaw's biggest flaw is playing on the road. He has many-a-great Gamecock victory, non of which came on the road. He is 13-0 at home but when he gets in front a hostile environment he never plays too well.
Thompson however, plays well as long as he knows he is playing. If he is thrown to the wolves he is like a deer in headlights but when given time to prepare he is pretty solid. (good example would be his win @Clemson last year.. a much more hostile enviornment that wasn't filled with everyone checking their phones for Cardinals' updates)

Good to hear, Thompson will need to show some kind of passing ability to keep Mizzou from stacking the box. You saw what happened to UF last week when they couldn't generate a passing attack.

Spurrier said the backup (Thompson???) will start but Shaw will dress. Tells me Shaw will probably get 90% of the snaps.

Dylan Thompson is a natural born passer ... he's much more out of the Spurrier mold than Shaw. We'll see how he does but, typically, when given the opportunity he does well. He throws a really nice ball - the kind his receivers like receiving.
