It drives them nuts. At least they still have the Cult Creed though.

Mathieu not winning was painful

Not as much as Darren McFadden not winning it at least once. But, that 20 & 20 media hype was too much to overcome. Nevermind his 20 rushing TD's probably amount to more than 40 yards rushing.

Might as well add this feather in the cap of the greatest Dynasty ever.

BTW, I'd be curious to know what other major accomplishments haven't been reached yet in this Dynasty? Probably very few records to break?

No #1 overall draft pick yet. Never had one in school history actually.

Three-peat.

Of course, thanks to a lot of single-loss seasons, the record for wins in a row is clearly not in any jeopardy. If we had managed to beat A&M this year and finished out the season with wins in the playoffs, we'd be at 29 straight wins - still 18 wins shy of the record. So I doubt that one is being broken in my lifetime.

I remember lurking around here the year Lamar Jackson won the Heisman and it was pretty much unanimous that the Heisman was irrelevant and no one cared about it.

But since Burrow and a couple Bama players won it, it's back to the most prestigious award in sports.

I have always thought the Heisman Trophy relevant because I'm not an emotional diva who discards the history and prestige of an award just because something happened with it that I don't like. Also...people who call the award irrelevant tend to think themselves hip and ahead of the times, thus possessing some secret and more advanced knowledge than the normal fans.

1966 - Alabama is the only undefeated team in the country, is kept at 3rd behind Notre "Play for the Tie" Dame and Michigan State, the team they tied.

1977 - Alabama finishes 11-1. Going into the bowl games they are #3 and defeats #9 Ohio State 35-6. #1 Texas loses to #5 Notre Dame, and #2 Oklahoma loses to #6 Arkansas (#4 Michigan also lost). Notre Dame leap frogs Alabama and gets the national championship. It should be noted both team had a mutual opponent - Ole Miss. Alabama defeated Ole Miss that year by 21; Ole Miss beat Notre Dame by 7 (OM was a 5-6 team that year).

Still crazy to me that after all this time and all the great players we’ve had this is finally our first and only QB to win the Heisman.

Typical gump, dumb as a rock. I guess you forget that this year lsu almost beat your arse with half a team in your stadium . Florida almost beat your arse and would have if not for the refs. Top it off auburn almost beat your asses with a backup QB. We all know LSU’s record in 2019 was something bama will never accomplish if Saban coaches till 100.

Without doubt, I heard their announcer brag about the lead in the series, and I believe that the way he announced it was very deceptive: “Auburn leads in the series” (long pause) and then more quietly “in the modern era.” Pathetic.

Did you ever listen to Jim Fyffe? The barners do homerism about as well as you can do it.

The Auburn radio crew is biased towards Auburn? No way.

Every team broadcast is a homer broadcast.
