This is a very good guess on what’s happening.

I think it’s something like this as well.

If he hadn’t tied the wagon to Manning, this may be a very different year.

I don’t buy that for one second. We had a third year starter last year with a veteran offensive line and he went 0-3 in these games because we couldn’t score, especially in the red zone.
He is the problem it doesn’t matter who we have at what position as long as that guy is running the program.
I also say this, realizing that there may not be anything better that’s available this year. so our best option might be to suffer one more year of this bullshite and see what’s available at the end of next season. We’re going to tread water until someone else is brought in. I know some of you still don’t want to acknowledge that but at some point you’ll have no choice.

You don’t have any suspicions that our redzone troubles were due to only having a beat up Tre Wisner at RB? Dude is scat back size without the scat. In the redzone you got to be able to run through somebody’s face.

omes down to preparation. We had two weeks to prepare for this game. That Falls squarely on the head coach. I don’t understand why our fans keep giving him a pass on that.

Dropped passes is just one of those unexplainable (as a whole) things. Georgia went through it last year. It was a close game until the 4th quarter. And the wheels started coming off when we made those two 4th down conversions and the on side kickoff. Texas never recovered after that. That said...the only time I felt a little nervous was going into the 4th quarter and Texas scored to make it 14-10. Momentum seemed to have switched and gone squarely in favor of Texas. Then the conversions and onside kick happened.

I guess the question is was Ewers good enough? That said, looking at it like you, you may be right.

I do agree that unless there is some coach in the NFL that Texas wants and can basically get committed before firing Sark, it’s better not to jump into the abyss of coaching searches this season

At least by next year, year 6 (which is crazy, time flies), there is going to be enough data on Sark to be confident in the decision.

(Learning to work the portal and fix holes is a huge part of the game now. If he can’t right the ship…. With damn near unlimited resources… you are right. It’s time)

If you’re smart, and I don’t think your alumns are in this regard, you’d hire UTSA’s entire staff and put all the extra cash into NIL.

Dude is an amazing recruiter and coach.

May be correct, but there is no way that happens. Not enough “we”re Texas” for that.

Spotting UGA 14 points with the 15 yard cushions was crazy, who do the Dawgs even have that can hurt you deep without a coverage bust? They sniffed out the fake punt in the previous drive but didn’t expect an onside on the next? Damn near 100 yards of penalties. The drops. I know our backs aren’t 100%, but you got to give them more carries than that. They were running just fine. Georgia isn’t 25 points better than Texas, but man that coaching advantage really fricking stood out.

Kirby is the best. That’s very clear.

The record against bama is crazy, but the dude is the class of coaches currently.
