I heard you liked Charissa Thompson journalism.

You were downvoted by someone who doesn't know, and doesn't care to know, about Joe Paterno's downfall.
Should he have done more? Yes.
Did he ignore it or cover it up? No.
"In the case of the 2001 incident, McQueary reported the incident to Paterno, who was his immediate supervisor. In turn, Paterno reported the incident to his immediate supervisor, Athletic Director Tim Curley, who then reported it to Gary Schultz, former senior vice president for business and finance, a position to which the University Police Department directly reported. (Schultz failed to notify his subordinate, the director of university police.) For these reasons, Paterno did not come under criminal suspicion".

Seems that if you know kids are getting raped, you don’t get to call it a day on your responsibility once you tell your boss. It’s not like Joe could say “I had no clue the cops weren’t told about my defensive coordinator raping kids. I guessed when he came back to practice everything was cool and the kid raping had stopped”.

Being told something in no way means he "know"s something.
I'm not a Paterno apologist
but he was told something and reported what he was told. He did not ignore, stall or cover up anything.

I'm pretty sure Joe didn't know shite about any of this. He was still playing NFL ball at the time it occurred.

Bull fricking shite. Everyone focuses on the one singular shower event. The abuse had been going on for years and everyone knew it, including JoePa. There was a reason Sandusky's access to the program had been reduced - but not eliminated. There's also a reason Sandusky had won awards as an assistant coach but never so much as sniffed a job offer as a head coach. Curious, dontcha think?
This revisionist history of JoePa as a morally pure man "who just didn't know" is malarkey. Everyone around Happy Valley knew. They just chose to sweep it under the rug.

No evidence of anything you ranted about.

What I want to know is why no one just didn't beat the living shite out of Sandusky.

That's a great question. Supposedly Mike McQueary witnessed it but didn't attempt to stop it. Oddly he was considered a good guy for reporting it though.
I'm done on this but I consider Paterno a victim of the mob combined with his own shortcomings.
