I do not hate the kid and it makes me sick that he’s being bullied on social media, that’s too far. Honestly I’m glad he’s a Tiger. But, frick man, catch the friggin ball. He’s way too good to be screwing that up and Hellmers was going to be the hero tonight.

I don’t know how many trees they have, but if I were Jake Brown’s parents I wouldn’t be sleeping too well and would be calling back to Sulphur asking a neighbor to keep an eye on things at their house tonight.
Do you agree with the LSU fans that say he should transfer? Or with the ones that are saying he should hear about his error face to face? Maybe you are one of the fans who is calling for his scalp like the Tygah above.

He made a mistake. It happens. He’s hurting way more right now than any fan.
I’m more curious why you’re so interested in this. I couldn’t name a single player or recall a single play from Bama’s team. Seems odd to obsess about it so much, but at least y’all aren’t murdering trees anymore, so that’s something to be proud of I guess.

Because I made the mistake of reading some of the comments about Brown. And reading that it wasn’t just here but on his personal pages. And then read posts suggesting or insinuating that fans should let him know in person and not just on the internet. And I saw all the apparent support for the idea. And it made me feel horrible for the guy. I can’t imagine what that would have been like at 18 or 19 years old. I legitimately feel for the kid. I doubt he could feel much worse than he does. But some fans seem hellbent on trying to make him feel worse. I also worry about fans fricking with him or his family. I am not saying with violence, but I can see them mailing/sending them things or leaving signs in their yard, salting their yard, that type thing.
That is why. The comments made and the rationalization that they are ok. There are a couple in this very thread.

But it’s perfectly fine to low rate kids from other teams who made a mistake years ago over and over and over and over and over and over and over….etc…again. In keeping with their mindset make damn sure this kid never forgets it, over and over and over and over again with a video so we can humiliate him over and over and over again.
Piss on those who have humiliated kids like this.

I F’d up even more by reading some comments on his personal instagram page. It looks like he or someone disabled comments a couple hours ago, but it doesn’t look like they have cleaned up the comments made before then. There were still a bunch showing that blamed him for the loss, telling him to transfer, and one even suggesting he kill himself. I will just about guarantee that some of those same people are also on here. And some here will defend them. Wait, they have already defended them.

I can guarantee you that Brown will leave LSU decorated and an early draft pick. He made a mistake. He will be better because of it.
