Because LSU New Orleans came back into the LSU umbrella as of July 1, 2026
It was part of LSU system years ago until they moved it into the University of Louisiana system
It's enrollment has been down for awhile now
It's back in the LSU system as they look to increase enrollment
It keeps the $ in the LSU system and you help out LSU UNO athletics budget
