Auburn's Casey Mize goes the full 9 against Northeastern and finishes the solo no-hitter.
No walks.
1 fielding error by the shortstop, so no perfect game.
AU 6
Northeastern 0

UT beating anybody in baseball is a damn good thing.

State lost 2-1 in extras to Utah Valley in game 1 of DH and is now tied at 1 in the 6th in game 2.
We clearly lack sluggers this year, but we’ve been pitching it well. We’re not great but might prove to be decent before the year is over.

Gamecocks win over Princeton 9-2. Friday Gamecock Ace Adam Hill gets the win (2-1), pitching 5.0 innings with 1 run allowed (earned), 2 walks and 9 strikeouts.
-----
Hill now has 43 Ks in 23.0 IP on the season, with 7 walks. After his stumble in the season opener, Hill has thrown 37 Ks in 19.0 innings and only 3 earned runs for a 1.42 ERA.
Hill's 16.83 K/9 IP is in the top 5 nationally and leads the SEC, and his 34 total strikeouts on the season thus far coming into tonight's games was 2nd in the nation, behind the 37 Ks from Alabama State's Darren Kelly.
Kelly only pitched 3 innings tonight and recorded 4 Ks, to give him 41 Ks on the season, falling behind Hill's 43 Ks. Hill was tied at 2nd with Stetson's Mitchell Senger, but Senger is not scheduled to start until Sunday. Senger's teammate at Stetson - Logan Gilbert - is tied for 3rd in the nation with 33 Ks, and he did pitch tonight, recording 6 Ks to give him 39 Ks.
Gilbert was tied coming into tonight with New Mexico State's Kyle Bradish, but it looks like Alabama got Bradish out of the game tonight in the Game 2 of their doubleheader with 9Ks, giving him a total of 42Ks in 23.2 IP, one behind Hill.
USF's Shane McClanahan (32 Ks) had 9 Ks in 6.2 IP today giving him 41 Ks in 24.2 IP. New Orleans' Bryan Warzek (32 Ks) was in a battle tonight versus Southeastern Louisiana - they are still tied up 6-6 in the 10th inning - but Warzek lasted 5.0 innings with 7 Ks to give him a total of 39 Ks in 23.1 IP.
Virginia's Derek Casey (31 Ks) did throw 10 Ks tonight in a losing cause versus Duke: he now has 41 Ks in 26.1 IP.
Fresno State's Edgar Gonzalez (32 Ks), and FAU's Kyle Marman (32 Ks) pitches tomorrow. So unless one of those guys blows up, Hill will head into next week leading the nation in strikeouts. The next SEC pitcher in total strikeouts is UK's Justin Lewis, with 27 Ks....

Game 1 of a double header underway in Gainesville.
Gators up 2-0 in the first.
Tyler Dyson throwing in the mid-90’s. Rhode Island is screwed.
