Bortles homered in the bottom of the 6th... Moon shot just inside the left field foul pole.

ECU leads OM 2-1 in the top of the 7th.

19-2 Final A&M over BG.

Ags lead series 2-0 and go for the sweep in 30 min. I'm hoping for 16 more. It'll nice to hit 50 in a weekend.

OM took a 3-2 lead. Top 8 now.

LSU second game against Army just underway. 0-0 bottom 1. Two on, Two out.

Good series win for a young team. I've watched most of both games and I've been impressed.

Regardless of tomorrow this series win will be a feather in our cap come June... ECU is loaded.

Our freshmen will struggle at times once the scouting reports make the rounds but they already look the part physcially... Especially for a bunch of 18-19 year olds... Dillard has really impressed the past two days ... He's taken great swings from both sides of the plate.

The LF took several less than stellar routes to balls behind him in yesterdays game. He needs to clean that up. There were two balls hit to the wall that he just looked ugly on. Haven't noticed what he did at the plate though.

The catcher is the truth behind the plate though. Blocks everything and has a cannon.

The LF was our other freshman catcher. That was his first time playing the position. He's getting transitioned there because of his bat and because Cooper Johnson is a defensive prodigy.

Gotcha. Well it showed. Otherwise, impressive series win. Looked pretty good for a young team.

For any OM fans (I casually follow them after 3 years of grad school there), what's the pitching staff look like? Who is really good? Any flamethrowers out of the pin? Impact freshman?

Freshman in the field
C - Cooper Johnson is a stud on D. Not a world beater hitting
LF/DH - Dillard can rake. Learning LF
SS- Kessinger supposedly good on D
1st - Zabroski looked solid

Juco 1st/DH has looked solid

Rollison, Holston, and Ethridge look to be the first freshman that will get a look on the mound.

Signed a very solid pitching class but will probably only see a few of them as we returned 7 or so guys who threw significant innings last year

Auburn split the DH. 2-0 win in the 1st, 9-5 loss in the 2nd. This weekend is exactly what I expected. Great fri and say starters, expect Sunday to be pretty good. Good relief but not much depth behind 3 guys, and will struggle to score. We were up 5-4 in the 9th and gave up 5. Game got away quick

The bullpen is probably the strongest part of the team right now. Outside of Stokes, you aren't going to see anyone that overpowers hitters. Pagnozzi, Woolfolk, and Green are the three returners that will eat a lot innings on the back end. They locate really well and pitch efficiently.

I still don't have a ton of confidence in the rotation. Parkinson (Fri) moved to the rotation from the bullpen last season out of necessity. He's good but not the same caliber as other Friday starters in the SEC (the SEC is loaded there this year). McArthur (Sat) is a soph with a ton of potential, but he's been inconsistent in the past. Feigl (Sun) is a soph and probably has the best "stuff" of the starters, but he's 2 years removed from TJ's surgery and hasn't had a chance to show himself as a starter.

As for the freshmen, Will Ethridge, Ryan Rolison, and Greer Holston are the big names. They'll all be starters eventually, but not this season. Rolison has the highest upside, but Ethridge is better currently. I expect Ethridge to be announced as the midweek starter this week and Rolison and Holston to help in the pen. I think Holston will probably be #5 in the extra midweek games.

Good to know. Sounds like OM is lacking "that guy" like an Alex Lange.
