So if the SEC is the only P5 conference that plays, Sankey is cool with it if someone dies? It probably won't be a player. It might be a janitor in the football offices or a nice meemaw who answers the phones.

I guess all our bosses making us go to work every day are cool if we die too?

several attorneys responded that they expected tons of worker's comp lawsuits, have been approached, but the inability to prove where you got Covid made it a non-starter

This topic came up months ago and those attorneys on your board are right. It would be nearly impossible to prove where someone contracted COVID

Last time I checked, college football players were not employees.

Last time I checked the janitor and Meemaw answering the phones are. And players aren’t required to play. In fact, they want to

It doesn’t matter. If a 19 year old football or has lasting effects from the disease I guarantee you he will sue and settle for a ton of money.

I honestly don’t think these seasons are shut down if there Wasn’t a threat of liability and lawsuits. There literally wouldn’t be any other reason

Is that why our economy shut down? Because literally the only reason was lawsuits?

Players don’t sue when they’re paralyzed playing football. There’s an assumption of risk involved here.

”Your honor, I was told I didn’t have to play and I would still receive full scholarship. I was told of the uncertainty of risks. I chose to play on my own. Now I want money “

Lol. Y’all think it’s so easy to sue and win money

But if other conferences deemed this unsafe and ours goes ahead

They have a case. No matter if I like it or not

This is about lawsuits in my opinion

Its part of the crowd that thinks the woman that won the settlement against McDonalds was just handed millions of dollars and McDonalds did no wrong.

Some do.

Some don't, but feel they don't have a choice if they want to improve their chances of post-college employment.

There's a difference between this and CTE. If you chose to play last year, you were risking your own brain. If you choose to play this year, you could be gambling your meemaw's life.

Tell me what is the difference between a student contracting Covid in a dorm...and that same kid being a athlete? There is none

As far as other reasons, look around the country..it is a politics thing...so many places with so few cases and still locked up

What if those conferences that cancelled have the same amount of infections? Or gasp, what if they have more?

So you're OK with the players risking their meemaws, purely for your entertainment?
