If y’all were to fire Malzahn, who would a potential candidate? I think no matter what, the next coach will be a somewhat unproven coach. Any coordinators who y’all are looking at?

But everyone is saying it’s because Florida’s defense is the best in the country...are you sure it was because your coach completely mishandled the game plan and play calling like he’s done the last 4-5 years? Plus a true frosh QB? It’s not that UF is the 85 Bears? You sure?

Well....you did in 2013 and 2017, so....Florida was ready for you and played a great game. Give them the credit they deserve and don't give up on your own team. Nix is a true freshman and picked a bad time to play like a true freshman. It happens.

Yep

But we have some of the biggest pussy fans that can rival LSU fans when their season falters.

We are much better team than we were last year. If you can't see that then you're not paying attention. Yes we lost yesterday to a good team with a ferocious defense in a hostile environment but our quarterback is young and he will learn and be better for it. I think we knock off 1 or 2 of the big 3 we still have yet to play. Maybe you won't believe that, but the guys in that lockerroom do. As long as we have Derrick Brown and that defense we have a chance against anybody.

We all do. It isn't just Auburn. Every team has them.

OP is obviously having a panic attack. The Auburn defense is good enough to keep AU in every game on your schedule. Two plays lost that game yesterday. The end zone interception and the sack for a 22 yard loss. AU left many points on the field at least 3 field goals and a TD. When Auburn goes into Baton Rouge we will find out the season for sure. AU will live or die by that game. Win it and they’re still very much in it all. Lose it and your only salvation is to screw up UGA and Bama’s dreams. We shall see Lucas the OP.

You should give him more time. For a little brother school you're not doing too bad

How much would his buyout be this year or next?

The problem with firing Gus is the inability to do better on the next hire. Might as well go ahead and give Gus a lifetime contract.

Back to thinking Gus is a gimmicky high school coach again. Just 24 hours after thinking he was one of the best CFB coaches.

This pattern is hilarious.

Auburn’s biggest problem has been OL recruiting the last few years. One bad hire and turnover at that position has hurt them.

Hell, Georgia's been getting all the good Olinemen around.

Not all on Gus there.

Yes, it is. What a stupid take, that a coach, who has been in place over four years, is not responsible for his losses. Freshman QB? Why didn’t he go get Joe Burrow? Untalented line? Why didn’t he recruit better?

AU will never again reach the SECW championship with CGM at the helm.

Somebody needs to put this quote in stone! When/if AU upsets LSU, UGA or Alabama, it'll be back to keeping the Gus Bus and driving onward.

AU and their people are definitely the most schizo football program in America.

Glory hallelujah, let me do a triple back flip while I cross my toes!

True confession is good for the soul, AU! Enrollment in my AU Reading Comprehension Class 101 and my "AU People, Let's Get Educated" class is now accepting applicants today! Hurry before they get full (not likely, though).

Our true freshman QB played like a true freshman and made a bunch of costly mistakes in a hostile environment. shite happens. We didn’t capitalize on our opportunities in a very close game. Climb down off the ledge
