game-winning catch in the Super Bowl. that too.

Bust: Playing at Arkansas and going undrafted.
Not a Bust: 1st round draft pick and instant millionaire

Do they teach statistics and probability in Arkansas?

That is not what "bust" means. Thanks for playing though.

Arkansas as a program is a bust.

McFadden....guy can't stay healthy for a one year. ONE. I'm tired of the "this could be the most talented back in the league" BS.

Mallett....Patriots, I guess? Verdict is still out since he's playing behind Brady. The little I've seen wasn't overly impressive.

Felix jones...lulz, nuff said.

Hillis...I like the guy. Solid stint in CLE, but yet to do jack shite in KC.

Matt Jones...Thug POS.

That's all I've got.

Saban's 1st two years in the NFL were better than Bill Belichick's first two

You gumptards treat facts like you do championships. Somehow a couple grams is now kilos and MJ was moving major weight for the Sandanistas.

Hell Capstone is wilder than Matt Jones and all he got was a couple months in banland.

If someone is posting a theory that both LSU and Bama fans are agreeing is ludicrous, then that poster must be pretty damn dumb.

Plaxico shooting himself is not a bust. He's had game winning superbowl catches.

Spears has been a long time starter in dallas.

Clayton: had a great rookie season he got hurt. That happens in the NFL.

Landry has been a Starter and consistent. I wouldn't put him anywhere around the others who were actually busts on this list.

Addai: had two good years.....how is that bust? NFL RB's don't last long.

The level of NFL talent being produced out of Alabama right now is only rivaled by the early 2000's Miami teams.

There is no comparison of Saban to Miami. Miami's players were actually good in college and the NFL which was the point of this thread. I can't think of a Saban player past or present, that will have comparable careers to any of the Miami players

That's projecting former Miami players' entire NFL careers onto former Alabama players with limited NFL careers thus far. His first round draft picks at Alabama are just getting started. This won't be answered for a few more years.

Saban did all he could. It's up to the player after that and it's called personal responsibility.

Saban's the "King of National Championships" so it's all good.

Ed Reed
Frank Gore
Devin Hester
Vince Wilfork
Willis McGahee
Andre Johnson

Those are just a few names of Miami players currently playing. Reed is a 1st Ballot HOF Lock and a couple of the other guys might also end up in there.

Portis and Shockey would probably be the ceiling for Bama's current NFL guys like Julio and Richardson but I don't see any of them having the careers the Bama hype machine anointed them to have. They're like USC QB's, rarely as good as advertised

Saban is the King of CFB and his players benefit from that. They win in College and get drafted in the 1st round. That's what keeps recruits coming to Tuscaloosa and all that really matters to the Bama nation

You seriously don't understand.

Those players have been in the NFL for 10 years now.

Saban's Bama players have just got there no more than 2 years ago.

No one is saying the Bama players are better. What we are saying is the level of 1st rounders produced is close to the level that Miami did back in the day.

That is a fact.

No it's not a fact. IMO, just like QB's from USC like Sanchez and Palmer, Bama players get hyped up from college through the draft just because they play at that school. This is not to say that they weren't good but in the NFL they are exposed when faced with superior talent and having to stand on their own two feet

They are still going in the 1st round. THAT IS A FACT.

10 first rounders in the last 3 drafts.
11 in the last 4.

probably 3 more this draft.
at least 2 more next draft.

Are you high? TR broke Browns rookie TD record.

JJ is 11th in the league in receiving yards and could end up playing for a Super Bowl this season.
