The point being made is that no other top football school is running off players at such a high rate, that's all. Everyone knows that they are "one year contracts", but when you start breaking down the relationship between a team and a player to contract details, it just doesn't look good.

I agree that it doesn't "look good" but I wouldn't be so quick to say that no other school has the same attrition rate right now. I suspect there are other programs that are rebuilding that have the same thing happening. It will start to slow down to more normal rates at Bama in the next year or two - although it isn't all that far from normal now.

Well, that's how we want them to remain.

No, but I bet he is lying his arse off to them. Both directly when necessary and lying by omission also. Sure everyone does it, but Saban seems to be worse than any, especially the way he is forcing kids out.

How do you know this?? Wouldn't the fact that he is probably the best recruiter in the country tell you that he isn't lying?

Why don't you stop spewing your shite because you have penis envy and try to give it to your partner tonight as opposed to playing catcher every night.

I really doubt it, especially at this level.

They see it.

They know it is wrong.

They will not admit it because they don't appear to have the backbone to disagree with anything Saban does or critize him.

It's sorta pathetic the way Bama fans have totally sold out.

No, that actually provides a strong argument that he can lie very well.

Wow, a gay joke. Did your friend tell you that one yesterday at recess?

Glad you like my avatar. I made it before the SECCG last year and I've just been too lazy to change it.

+1

even bama fans HAVE to see this

bullshite, you've obviously never spent a lot of time around high-level talent.

Let me ask you this...if a very high level student gets an academic scholarship and is motivated to compete with other high level students, don't they try to attend a school where they are competing with the best? Of course they do.
On the same level, if they do gain entry in to that institution, are they not held accountable for their performance as well?

Nah, I firgured that is the only thing that could explain his anger issues.

I don't think it's wrong to be honest with players and tell them that they aren't going to play. Despite what you Auburn fans want to believe, the players leaving aren't exactly the cream of the crop. Most of them had been around a while and had seen very little playing time. Others had a reputation for slacking and "team violations" and Lawrence wasn't cutting it either and apparently couldn't see himself beating the talent around him.

I don't know if you've ever run a business (like it or not college football is a business now) but you don't keep those kinds of employees when you can get better ones.

I mean... COME ON!

morally, this is just WRONG

I have yet to see a transferred player, HS coach, or parent say anything negative about Bama or it's coaching staff.

you can spin this all you want, but you know that if chizik were doing it, you'd be screaming bloody murder.

That would be nice, yes, but you really don't know what's going on behind closed doors. For all you know they could walk up to the kid and say sorry, we're revoking your scholarship. Good luck.

if this is what college football will come to, I don't want any part of it.

there's no honor in that.

YOU don't know what is going on either. YOU have no reason to believe that these players are not being told the truth - which is they're not going to play. YOU just want to cry and moan about it because it's BAMA and your team sucks.

No, because you will teach them that the easiest way is the best way.
Competition is what makes teams better, not great 1st teamers and the rest just fighting for scraps.
