good heavens, I thought I'd heard it all but this takes the cake. Honest question for the delusional...what in the world would a plant even DO for us? We both recruit the same kids. Kirby knows how the program runs because, ya know...he worked there for a decade with the head coach. We know waht there is to know about scheme from dozens of staffers pouring over game film.

Aside from a super triple secret trick play run during practice, there is literally nothing that we could even benefit from with that.

So far the home games have been New Mexico State and Southern Miss.

He knows good and well UAB,Troy,South Alabama, Jax State and/or Samford would play them in Tuscaloosa in a second. While certainly not powers, they would at least generate some interest locally. But he'd rather cry at the podium and dare any of the reporters to challenge him.

There are actually kids that believe the prophecies of this ridiculous cult? Aren't you the same kids that mock Christian's with a Jesus riding a Trex?

but I BELIEVE we had played a home night game prior to that.

Don't think so. Oddly, they opened the 1983 season at home at night vs UCLA on ABC.

I'm pretty sure there are a few LSU fans on here who can give you some tips on that one.

Well when I was a kid, this was basically exactly what you did. You went to meet up with girls etc.

Especially on Friday nights when the video games were free.

Options:

1. Go to game and sit in the heat as we destroy some nobody.

2. Stay at home in the trailer park drinking a bud light and watching on TV while having to make conversation with your first cousin who doesn't look as good as she used to.

Decisions, decisions.

He's being a little bitch about it.

LSU has better fans, they deserve the night games more. They've been famous for having a loud arse stadium no matter what for 70 years.

Alabama is a bunch of bandwagon fans.

Tuscaloosa Record High Temperature by day in September:

Sept. 1st- 104 degrees, 1951
Sept. 2nd- 100 degrees, 2011
Sept. 3rd- 102 degrees, 1951
Sept. 4th- 104 degrees, 1954
Sept. 5th- 103 degrees, 1954

.... I would keep going but I don't want to type it all out. To summarize, of the 30 days in September, the all-time highest temps for each individual day occurred in these decades:

13 times- 1950s
1 time- 1960s
0 times- 1970s
10 times- 1980s
0 times- 1990s
0 times- 2000s
6 times- 2010s

Gotta love out we have a hot spell nowadays and everyone wants to pretend its unprecedented. It's not. The majority of the hottest days on record in Tuscaloosa for the month of September occurred in the early to mid 1950s.

knowing with 100% certainty you're going to win at least 11 of your 12 regular season games isn't very entertaining. You want the fans to show up and get loud how about dialing back the talent level a few notches.

Interesting logic...

We've had 5 major ice ages during the history of the world... obviously global temps had to fall and then rise again for us to go through and come out of these ice ages.

We had a little Ice Age from 1600 - 1850 that is well documented. The Thames routinely froze every year... hasn't frozen since the 1800s. The Delaware also froze which is why there is ice in the famous painting of Washington crossing it, but it no longer freezes over. Of course this followed the Medieval Warm Period from the 1300s through 1600 in which global temperatures were thought to be warmer than they are today.

So the earth's temperature has been changing naturally for billions of years, but only now is it man's fault... so much so we should decimate the world's economies and throw millions of people back into starvation just so we can arrogantly make an attempt to change the global temperature when in fact we cannot.
