Can he claim Muschamp too since it was his first Div I Coordinating job, even though he was DC at Valdosta in Div II first?

So the two you mentioned under Miles, who did they also coach under?
We've already established that Jimbo coached under both Saban and Miles. There isn't a second.

Muschamp's not going to a bowl this year.

And Bowden.

He's on Florida's payroll now.

Probably, but he's not coaching his team in a bowl game this year.

No. Muschamp hasn't coached a game yet.
Besides, I didn't need Muschamp to make my point.
You Bammers were laying down on the job so I had to throw down some facts from the Google. I learned from SEC Guy.

Right. Good catch.

You're joking, right?
Jimbo Fisher STAYED on with Miles. He was HIRED by Saban in 2000. He was on Saban's LSU staff for 4 seasons and with Miles for only 2 seasons.
Right, but the Bowden FSU thing fricks it up with Jimbo. And prior to LSU he was with the Bowdens at Samford and Auburn, so they officially win on the Jimbo Fisher sweepstakes.
And just so we're clear, 4 years is the criteria?

Just so we're clear, the argument you're trying to make is a really, really stupid one.
No one in their right mind thinks Miles' assistants >>> Saban's assistants.
Just be happy we went 10-2 this year and find a more defensible position to argue about.

I would say the criteria should be, who gave the coach their first big time opportunity (like as a coordinator)?

When you go through assistants like Saban does...there are going to be more coaches out there. it's simple math

Wish our coach would go thru an O-cord, just for fun

It's going to be impossible for Miles to keep Crowton from being hired away. Chavis too.

WTF are you even talking about?

you people kill me with the "Saban goes through all these assistants" crap. Check out the tenure of his current staff at Bama...KS = 8 yrs (LSU, Miami, Bama); JM = 3yrs; JP = 4 yrs; BD = 9 yrs; CC = 4 yrs; BB = 4 yrs; JP = 3yrs; BW = 7 yrs (MSU and Bama - 3 yrs at Bama)
Do I need to keep going...point is that Saban selects great coaches for the most part, they stay with him, at least at Bama, and when he makes a mistake in hiring someone that does not fit the coach usually "finds" a better gig. Quit making things up as you go when it comes to coaches and their staff
