In todays world, I don't blame the players and coaches for being scared when the opposing teams fans rush the field. Those same fans brought golf balls and mustard to the stadium last year to throw at the opposing team.
But from the video I saw, Burton didn't appear to be in any imminent danger when he struck the female.
