This is extrem naivete. Saban has been working the media for years, lobbying for playoff spots or trying to motivate his players. You think he now just developed foot in mouth disease?

Of course not. However, I don’t think he was taking intentional shots at Oats.

One thing is for sure.

Whenever Saban says literally anything, this board goes fricking nuts.

To act like saban is oblivious to what is going on with the bball program, because he is the football HC, is absurd.......at the very least.

I don’t mean that Saban is oblivious, but I don’t know how plugged in he is regarding the outrage over Oats’ comment. Regardless, it doesn’t mean he really thought about the Miller situation before he made these specific comments or that Saban intended for his comments to be a shot at Oats.

I doubt Saban even thought about the Miller situation or Oats when he said this.

Even Saban hates Alabama basketball.

We know Auburn does.

How does a team blow a 17 pt lead while shooting 80% from 3?

Goddamn, that may be historic.

Atleast we don’t have an accomplice to murder on our team..

Or our football coach calling out our basketball coach for horrible PR mismanagement and ethics.

We know Auburn does.

Auburn fans were quick to exit Legacy Arena on Saturday night before they had to witness Bama win after witnessing Auburn lose.

Coach deliberately took a direct shot at Oats, and he drove it home with his final comment about who you chose to hang out and surround yourself with. Coach wanted to make a point, he’s very calculated that way.

It's as obvious as obvious can be. This ordeal has been a huge black eye on the University as a whole. saban knows and understands this.

has to take culpability regardless of not having any proof that they committed a crime.

Looks like we have a Mensa candidate here folks.

Yep, there is absolutely ZERO proof that OJ committed murder and Hillary committed federal crimes by having emails sent to her personal email.

Wow, some of you are absolutely moronic.

So, two more questions:

1. Do you really believe that there is no proof of crimes by OJ and Hillary?

2. Do you truly believe that people are only guilty of a crime if they have ever been charged or convicted?

Because, if the answer to either of those questions is no, then that is absolute proof of your idiocy. You are too stupid to even understand my post.

If the answer to either question is yes, then all I can do is

I'll never forget a story JPW told in his first meeting with Saban. He thought they would talk about scheme, formations, etc, and he told JPW I don't think you're very good, I wouldnt have recruited you, we are gonna bring in better players but you're all I have right now so you better own a leadership role and get your head out of your a$$. That is all.

lmao Saban is the best

Either way, it's a step in the right direction.

This is how Saban has always treated players who get arrested and charged with a crime. Tony Mitchell was arrested in Florida for marijuana possession with the intent to sell/distribute. He rightfully has been disciplined by Saban by being suspended indefinitely from the team.

There is a big difference between being the performer of a crime and a witness to a crime.

You better let Saban know

He’s the one that threw Oats under the bus.
