How many times has Saban " Failed" since the 2008 Season?....just 7....now count up how many times Mississippi State FAILED, then you have who the real losers are....nice flame attempt..

Because he's awesome.

saban tried something new offensively in 2007, and it was a failure.
He really had no other choice. The offense Shula had built up throughout his four years there wasn't built for the power and physicality Saban liked. The strength of that offense was at WR and (sadly) QB. Coffee didn't emerge until later on in the season.

If he did this, and ever got a decent QB, he'd be like Oklahoma in the early to mid-2000s. Those were some great offenses.

Have people watched Bama since Saban got here. We have gone up-tempo at some point in the game for 90% of the games the last few seasons.
As mentioned, we ran it well against TAMU. It seems if the offense gets a good play to start a drive, the offense will hurry up and get going. The difference I think is that we have pre-determined plays for the up-tempo drives we plan.
I love it when we go up-tempo. AJ controls the offense well and it keeps the D off their feet.
I really love it when it ends with a screen to Yeldon.

tempo will naturally have to get faster at one end of the triangle.

You can do that and still go HUNH.
Not with the QB we have and be effective. We need a guy with some speed for this to work. And I want a smart passer, not a armless runner.

SEC fricked. Got poisoned by Big 12 and soon old man football will be dead.

So Saban doesn't care about player safety anymore? GTFO

Saban has run the HUNH. He really just hasn't had to result to that to win, yet. It's best to be able to run it, then get in your grind it out game chewing up 8 minutes of clock on a drive. Frustrates the opposition.
