It's more to do with there being more to life than selling your soul for football. Bama fans kill each other over the game and somehow see themselves as normal just because more Bama fans tell them they are. Saban and his staff comes out proving they gave money to players and yet enough Bama fans say it didn't happen and they think it trump reality.

I didn’t say you wish your fan bases were like Bama’s. I said you guys wish you had Bama’s success which you guys 100% do.

No they weren't. Another delusion Bama fans have convinced themselves of.

Yes they were. This board was filled with AU posters cheering on Alabama. Again the reasoning being if UGA won then AU would have both their biggest rivals to really compete with. Where as Bama winning doesn’t change anything since they’ve already won so much.
quote:

They just realized it happens so much that the story isn't going to be groundbreaking. Plus it's like calling the cops on the police chiefs brother knowing they won't arrest him. Eventually you just stop calling.

Once again good for the media for bending over for Bama and Saban.

I think the committee’s use of the eye test explains 2017. Because failure to win your division and your conference and getting in is unexplainable .

You just prove the delusional world Bama fans live in. Logic ceases to exist if another Bama fans tells you something you said is right. There is a reason Bama fans have the reputation as nutjobs and it was well before Saban. Even on this board it's just Bama fans circle jerking each other posts while everyone else makes fun. The fact yall cant see that is bad enough.

All I see is a bunch of whining here. Can’t stand another team’s success so you just have bitch about it every way you can.

I was just restating comments about Gus from Bama and other SEC Teams Fans

Please. Before the iron bowl, Auburn fans hated Gus more than anyone else. They hated him and thought he was the worst. Most non-Auburn fans think Gus is just inconsistent. There are times he can beat the best(Saban) and then there are times he gets beat by the worst. The only thing more bipolar than Gus’s record is the Auburn’s opinion on Gus himself. Wanting to fire him one minute and then giving him $49 million the next minute.

Couldn’t agree more with most of this however it’s not like we can control the market rate for HC’s.

There are several prominent Auburn fans on this forum who have posted nothing but bitter diatribes about cheatun Bammer and their gawdurn fans all year long. Since the Natty that's practically all they've done.

It's...sad :(

Most Auburn and LSU fans on this board have abandoned dignity and now just embrace being the fairies they are. Is what it is.

The only thing this thread confirms is the state of the two programs. Auburns aspirations begin and end with Bama and Georgia whereas nothing less than natinal titles matter to Bama and Georgia

That’s an interesting way of saying that his woman was a magnificent student at the University of Alabama.

This is asinine. Calipari gets the best talent in basketball every year and has one title in eight years

Basketball is way different than football (basketball elite talent is one and done complicating things). In basketball one player can very easily dictate the game. Football is a total team sport. So a large talent advantage across the board in football should easily win. If they don’t it falls on game plan and execution (execution is dictated by coaching).

One player, specifically a QB, can dictate the game in football as well. Cam Newton in 2010 and Winston in 2013 and Watson in 2016 are good examples.

You underestimate the surrounding cast both for Cam and Winston. Watson had good WR that made Bama's DBs look silly.

Poor. Pathetic. Puppet. How many times must I explain to you the hierarchy the Playoff Committee uses. Divisional and Conference championships are only considered when teams are relatively equal.

After the Playoff Committee reviewed the all-22 footage they negated Barn U's ref assisted win. So undefeated Clemson was ranked #1. OU and UGA were next based on their OOC victories over OSU and Notre Dame, then Bama- who the Committee rightfully viewed as an undefeated team was next. An undefeated Bama team which was clearly superior to a 2 loss OSU and a 1 loss Wisconsin squad.

The fact that the Playoff Committee dismissed Barn U's biggest *win* in years one week after it happened should have sent a message to every fan of Cow College. It certainly sent a message to Gus.

Look up swimming and diving. Those are sports that do not require someone voting you a championship.

SkyKing, have you ever seen a diving competition? I'll swear it's like you deliberately try to be wrong about something in nearly EVERY post.

They even claim bama passed the"eye test".

I guess they missed a poor A&M Team with a Freshman QB (who looked like an AA against bama) and a MSU team that choked a victory away with poor coaching, play the clear superior team. Hell, MSU was their best win and they got beat by a Probation Punch Drunk Ole Miss at the end of the year. Then they had to miss the AU game where Bama only scores were from a Hail Mary and one drive to start the 3rd Qrt. The fact that the Committee ignored all that just shows that those 12 members were getting drunk on weekends at the resort instead of watching games. :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

Not downplaying the surrounding cast for those teams but I am just saying having a once in a generation QB for those schools propelled them to an NC. Without that QB I don’t see those teams winning. How many NC’s have any of those teams won after those QBs left. Heck Look at Clemson in 2017 and the one from 2016. If Clemson still had Watson this past year I am not sure Bama would have beat them as opposed to if they had other players that went in the draft in 2017.
