I expect we’ll have a better than average passer next season. I don’t understand why LSU and Auburn fans are so confused by this logic? Bama has 2- 5 stars and a 4 star quarterback that would’ve been a 5 star had he not left high school early. It’s not unreasonable to think Bama could possibly have a better than average passer next season
I agree that it isn't unreasonable.
It just isn't very likely that two guys who couldn't even get a look at playing and a true freshman will suddenly be better than a two year starter.
Especially when you look at how DeBoer/Grubb use running backs.

Like I said, we’re praying one will be better..you guys are praying one won’t be. It’s not hard to understand why..Milroe was not good so we’re hoping for better. Milroe dominated LSU so you guys are praying whoever starts will be worse
Certainly a reasonable take unlike the other Bama posters who know Nuss is gonna suck based on past performance and know a first year starter is gonna be great because of…gut feel?

I certainly understand the idea of "hoping" you will be better, everyone does that.
I don't understand several of these Bama homers who just pretend it's a foregone conclusion that they will have above average quarterback play next season.

It’s March Sidewalk..we’ve all got big hopes for our teams. I love baseball so I’ve got big hopes for Bama’s baseball team even though history tells me we will likely finish middle of the pack at best. Until then I’m thinking we can compete with anybody!!…well, hoping!!

My response to this is
1-you must not have watched that 2year starter play against Oklahoma and Michigan. We’d been better off playing Helen Keller.
2- there was obviously a lot more involved in Milroe not getting benched than just playing ability. I heard rumors and dismissed it, but after watching Milroe in those 2 games I mentioned above, there was probably some truth to those rumors. I don’t want to get into the rumors here, but we’ll just say that Deboer probably just felt like the team had already decided who their quarterback was going to be and he wasn’t going to rock the boat in year one with the way things started to fall apart before he even got to Tuscaloosa. Milroe was impactful in keeping several of the returning starters from the previous season. I personally think very highly of Milroe as a person and I enjoyed watching him at Bama, but I do not believe he was the best option Bama had at quarterback last season. Unfortunately he may have been the only option as far as the players were concerned.

Sounds like a super good coach letting his players run the show
Posted on 3/14/25 at 10:30 pm to FoTownBam
If your players were seeing a better quarterback in practice and still decided they wanted the worse one, that's a problem.
If your coach lets the players make those decisions, that's an even worse problem.

He made like 5 plays all year. Dropped several TDs

This doesn’t surprise me. I wouldn’t expect many LSU fans to understand it. You’ll understand soon enough

Willy T!!
Sheet I haven’t heard from you since 42-13 beat down you coonasses took from the hands of the worst quarterback of the Saban era. He put up 84 points in 2 seasons against that mentally challenged defense of yours. Speaking of message boards, I think I read on one of them that your defensive coordinator that you took from Mizou was one of the highest paid coordinators in the country. Is that true?
Might need to get Elon and DOGE to look into that, because that seems like a lot of wasteful spending

Well yeah, none of this cope makes sense to anyone except Bama homers.

how DeBoer/Grubb use running backs.
Milroe barely used the running backs at all. He kept the ball far too many times when he should have handed off on the rpo plays The fact that won’t happen as often, alone, will make the offense better. Plus, as previously noted and conveniently ignored, Grubb is a much better OC than Sheridan.
If I were an LSU fan I would be far more concerned about my own team than Alabama or any other team.

Why? We had the exact same record and LSU had a less talented roster.

You’re not the first person to suggest this. Good news is most of those players are gone and we should have younger guys ready to fill those voids this season. Last season it would’ve been a disaster if those guys transferred out.

Why?
Dominated by an Alabama team that lost to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma would concern me but if you are happy with that, plus losing your best coach, that is awesome.

Meh, we still beat both fairly handily
Seems rather hypocritical that you think LSU fans should only "worry about their own team" while Bama fans talk about whomever, despite having the same record.
