Explain what they have to be insecure about? The team went 15-0 last year and 14-1 the year before. I don't see much drop off for this fall.

It's one of those plays that looked like targeting in real time but wasn't during replays. I wish it had been, but it wasn't. There was no initial contact above the shoulders.

Believe I know, better than most.
It was 32 years for us. Lots of close calls, but never quite followed through. It's frustrating, as any legit Georgia fan knows. Then, you finally break through, like we did in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl.
Maybe you already know this, but there was a controversial penalty in that game, too. I'm still defending it against haters and Hurricanes 20 years later. It's ridiculous, of course, and doesn't change the outcome of the game. But, you get used to it.

Yeah, in real time and when targeting was called, I had no issue with the call - but if you recall - they went to commercial - and when came back they had the replay and it was obvious - no targeting.

I’m not a fan of anyone team. I’m just a casual fan. It wasn’t targeting. Helmets lightly making contact isn’t targeting. You may have wanted it to be, but it wasn’t. He hit him with the shoulder and jarred him. It was definitely a whiplash effect but he didn’t strike him with the crown and led with the shoulder. I guess you think the DB should just watch him catch it. Big ten fans are so soft. It wasn’t targeting. Are you also going to tell me the Bowers reversal wasn’t correct next?

They had a great game plan and almost took down the champ. After that game, if UGA played them 10 times, we would beat them 10 times.

You are giving Day a run for biggest bitch. That’s quite an accomplishment. Maybe it’s just a Big10 thing. No idea

Moron, I have been around Ohio Staters for years. That fanbase constantly complains about officiating in games they lose. In reality a bunch of their fans don't know the rules of the game. Why is that?
Against Michigan they just lay down and quit, hard to blame officiating in that case.
That fanbase has complained about Bowers' first down spot and the "targeting" call ever since the game was played.
In case you have not been following them, they want to run off the DC. I forget his name. Are you aware of that? Another loss to Mich and Day will be run out of town
And no SES fans ever complain about officiating . Is that your thesis? I’ve never heard anyone on this forum blame the refs lol hahahaha

Many of them still think so

Because they don’t understand the out of bounds rule. Show me where Bowers is down before he makes the line to gain. It was actually an easy reversal in slow motion. The official thought he was out earlier but replay was clear.

Bowers got the first and it wasn’t targeting. Both calls were correct. If OSU had a kicker they would have won and be smearing shite all over the rant so thank god for that.

I felt bad for the kicker, but was, obviously ecstatic that he missed. And, in fairness to the kicker it was a 50 yard FG attempt. With nothing on the line, that is a tough kick to make, but with a National Championship game riding on the kick......very, very tough.
One confusing thing....the ball was spotted at the 32 yard line. Typically you add 10 yards for the end zone and 7 yards for the snap and placement. I saw that ESPN listed as a 50 yard attempt. I'm not sure if OSU usually places the ball 8 yards for the snap and placement or maybe they did that because Georgia tends to block a lot of FGs in pressure situations?
Either way, it is a play the kicker will replay in his head over and over for the rest of his life. Tough thing.
