Tigers have become a joke due to Ed O. But they certainly aren't quite the dumpster of a program that UT and TU have become. Thing is, like t.u. the Tigers aren't a great destination for the few proven coaches.

I think Fickell is the best coach of these choices. Not sure if he’s one of the most likely though.

He's an Ohio State guy, so there'd always be a looming thought that he might bolt at some point, but no doubt his remaining tenure at Cincinnati is short-lived.
Someone will scoop him up.

Baylor's staring down what amounts to relegation, though. That's going to make recruiting that much harder. I think Aranda's a legit option, but only if some people say no.
I think LSU makes a run at Jimbo first. He'll probably tell them no, or Aggie will preemptively spray him with so much money he'll have to say no.
I think Franklin's pick #2, but (a) I'm not sure he'd leave Penn State, and (b) I think he's USC's top target realistically. LSU's a better gig than USC right now, IMO.
Kiffin is too high risk high reward for Scott Woodward, who has a history of making splashy, high dollar hires that look like a sure thing. Just seems out of character for Woodward. Could it be? Maybe, but if it's Kiffin, several guys said no.
Napier seems logical, if not flashy. Again, seems kind of unWoodwardy.
I hope it's not Freeze. It won't last, but for a while LSU will be extremely good. Whatever else Hugh Freeze is, he's a winner.
My money is on James Franklin.
