What's comical about all of the replies to your thread from these "SEC Baws" is that one of the loudest arguments against our departure in 2011 was that we were joining an academically inferior league. tu viewed SEC schools and their alums/fans as a bunch of redneck morons. That's why Dodds was angling for the Pac10.

Here we are a decade later. tu is said to come to the SEC and the notion of them joining a PAC10/B1G super conference instead of the SEC has the "brain trust" on tRant laughing at dumb old Aggy.

Perhaps the sips were right back in 2011.

I thought 9 was a given?

I even thought 9 when Mizz. & TA&M joined.

Is this same Texas donor that told you Bijan & Worthy were transferring? Did he also tell FishFearMe?

As I've said before, if 2020 taught me anything it's that as long as the SEC continues playing football in its current configuration, I really don't care what the rest of the country does. All this hullabaloo about what the B1G is up to and how we're being left behind is silly. SEC football will continue to be the best and most interesting football. No TV contracts are going to change that.

The mouse is going to spin off ESPN...because they "don't see the value".

No it’s not!.. 80% is 4 teams of the New 16

Bigger than Texas .. lol
Bigger than Oklahoma.. lol
Bigger than Alabama.. lol
Bigger than Georgia.. lol
Bigger than Florida.. lol

Wait I’m past 4…. So?!!?…

LSU is bigger, Tennessee is bigger…. Kentucky is a bigger brand albeit because of Basketball.. but they are a bigger brand…

I’d argue Ole Miss is a better brand as well.

Only an Aggie hope this is true. A&M is terrified of their big brother.

Unfortunately that’s being shot down by the board.. Disney needs the revenue from ESPN desperately. It’s the only reason Disney showed growth last quarter.

If the B1G is able to do that, they will definitely have the biggest dick of all the conferences.

And that'll bring Aggie on board too!

If we're being technical, Bama, UGA, LSU are bigger brands. Even if Aggie were 4th, which would absolutely be positional in time, that's 78.5 % at best.

I think Florida, along with the three you list, is a bigger draw on a national level than aTm.

Some people are stuck in the past ... FlyinHog is right that Texas A&M and Texas are pretty much neck in neck, especially in football. Overall athletic program has to go to Texas with their women's sports

That has zero to do with the value they bring for viewership . Not denying that at present they have money to spend am stating that people spending money are choosing to view other teams at a higher priority.
