That would suck but the teams already have neutral site games with Fla. And tx. So the will they end up with two or three conf. Home games a year. I'm ready for ours with Aggys to be done. . It was good to get back into tx for recruiting but now that the best tx team will be joining in 2025 we dont need it

Would make sense. UGA rarely ever plays in a tough road environment.

We’ve played at Clemson, ND, Colorado, and Arizona State plus we play at GT every other year who until they fired Johnson was a good program. Not to mention we play plenty of tough neutral site games. I don’t think most teams, if any, in the SEC can match our OOC schedule the last 15 years.

Feel free to list the tough OOC road games that Tennessee has played the last 15 years in comparison.

I like the idea . Makes sense because neither of us are playing again outside of the normal sec schedule after 2025. Think anything could happen even the game getting cancelled becuase we move in early. Playing the game in Vegas would be awesome. Hope our qb returns next year .

@UCLA
@Cal (home and home)

You laughed at ours and then listed two teams worth a shite while the others would have got beaten by GT most years. Good stuff.

What is the rationale....a money issue? That there wouldn’t be a home n home way to split money?

Idk. More games in Norman is better

UGA scheduled tougher OOC opponents than anyone in the conference

UGA kisses their cousins GaTech and Clemson. Anything that requires them to fly anywhere just isn’t in the plan often.

UGA has traveled to Arizona State, Colorado, Oklahoma State, Notre Dame, etc., w/future games @UCLA, Ohio State, etc.

Where has Tennessee traveled these past 10 years? Only two notable places: Oregon & Oklahoma. You lost both. You canceled your trip to BYU....didn't have enough gas money to get there, I suppose?

the real question, When has Tennessee played more than one Power 5 out of conference opponent in a year? Not counting bowl games.

I made it back 20 years and could not find a single season.

In contrast Georgia has played multiple P5 OOC opponents in 13 of the last 20 years, and that's not counting playing Boise State twice during that span also.

We home and home more often than any other SEC team.
We leave the southeast home and home more than any other SEC team.
And we still find lots of neutral sites as well.
We schedule 3 P5 OOC games in the same season more than any other SEC team (more often than some schools schedule 2 P5 OOC games in the same season).

Dont be tone deaf.

Pitt will be defending ACC champs when we play them (they beat GT by 30 last year btw)

GT would have beaten OU with baker?

GT would have beaten Oregon at full steam under chip Kelly?

Cal and UCLA were ranked when we played them, although they both a fell off later in the season.

You’re just mad I called out your silly little “UGA is the best, how could anyone top their schedule” statement

But by all means, please continue to reiterate how playing GT every year is so tough and scary and makes you better than everyone.

I will give the Vols credit for OOC scheduling, y’all have done almost as well as UGA in that regard this last decade

they’re making the same argue that LSU makes about Tennessee being Baja’s permanent East opponent

oh the irony…

it’s true that the Yellow Jackets have fallen off, especially this last decade

but they are easily as difficult as at least half of the SEC most years…
