This is such a hard turn from Butch culture wise

Meh, dude was coaching in Pullman Washington. Probably one of the hardest places to recruit. Give him the resources UT has with the athletes they have access to and it could be a rough time for the east.

They haven't played portland state or eastern washington this year. They lost to Cal, AZ, and UW and sit at 9-3 with a bunch of 2* recruits. He also beat USC and Stanford with those same 2* recruits.

Lot of people talking about Leach throwing 80 passes.......he's quietly shifted to much more run and TOP style in the last couple seasons (comparatively, at least).
Part of that is having a defense to trust, but part is a shift in philosophy.
Would be a hella interesting hire. Hope Vols will give him a chance the first few years, because it generally starts slow and has some major hiccups but he almost always gets things going eventually. Damn it I love Leach, this isn't cool.

He lost to Portland State and Eastern Washington during his Washington State tenure. He wasn't just talking about this season.
