I'm surprised by how the Auburn posters are so outnumbered by LSU posters in this thread. Wonder why?

They can do much better than Saban anyway,he's an awful nfl coach.

I think after his tenure at UA he'd be a force to reckon with in the NFL.

I'd assume he has the respect of any player in the NFL (besides anyone left on that Miami team).

Maybe because there are far more LSU posters on this site than Auburn

Good try though

Why would he leave the most delusional and myopic fanbase in America, feeding his ego with no pro team in his state, with the bamaland-controlled SEC office a 45 minute Benz ride from his crib, with offensive holding calls coming at the rate of a lunar eclipse?

All to be near the Great Lakes?

C'mon man.

You won't see it until that precedent has been set..but yes, when a guy is bringing in 30 mil a year profit you can afford to give him a 5 mil raise. Pretty simple

You haven't let me know how you're so sure he wouldn't leave.

I only say this because it's his track record. Nick Saban = Coach Calipari

Seems like supra was just passing along some info. You're the one who took it in a negative fashion. Good try though.

Saban to the Browns is not that far fetched. Bama fans need to realize he has no loyalty to anybody. He chases good opportunities and more important $$$. The Browns front office will be in a lot better shape than the Dolphins. He has connections to the Browns under Belichick's staff. Saban wasn't a failure at the Dolphins. Took a horrible team 9-7 and almost made the playoffs. Second season was 6-10 because Daunte Culpepper was terrible. If they signed Drew Brees he would still be there and Bama would be with 2 less national championships.

Nope. Until you can tell me where the 30mil goes once it hits the bank your entire assumption that UA can just write him a check is nonsense. i.e. LSU Football donating $$ to the academic side of the school, or paying off that renovation to BDS and the new athletics building at UA. I'm sure lowering the payments on those combined with interest rates would be more of a concern than giving a HC a 100% raise.
