So Atlanta is the only city in the Southeast?
I also think it should be played in Miami, so that way, LSU can take their talents to South Beach.
No but you mentioned Texas and Cincy.

Alternate Atlanta and N.O. every year is the best solution. Have the Atlanta year be the home game for the east team and vice versa. Makes the most sense.
That

No way they would have the game outdoors in Nashville in December. Gotta stick with domes
The high in Nashville TN was 59 on december 4, 2010. With 0 precipitation.
The average high for that day across the last 15 years is 54 with a low of 41.
That is perfect football weather.

New Orleans is a terrible location because of the Sugar Bowl and its tie in with the SEC. One of the teams playing in the SEC title game will be going back to New Orleans only a month later. The fans would not really care to go back, especially if they lost the SEC title game.

Cincinnati was sarcasm, and JerryWorld would be to Tide Fans what the Georgia Dome is to LSU Fans: a 9 to 10 hour drive.

Lets alternate the Sugar Bowl so it isn't in New Orleans ever year also. I'm so tired of the Sugar Bowl always being in New Orleans.
I think it works out pretty well right now. SECCG in Atlanta and SEC rep in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl.

Yea let's use one year's stats on 1 day to determine if Nashville is viable.
If a front came through it would turn the game into a sloppy defensive battle instead of the annual showcase of speed and talent playing at 100% that we want broadcast throughout the nation.

It's not EVERY YEAR!
If they lost the SEC Title Game, those fans wouldn't go back to New Orleans.
Monty, seriously, you're killing me. I know you're late to the party but that doesn't excuse you from not reading the thread from the start...

Atlanta is inside the SEC area though. It is a giant airport hub. You're not going to find many areas easier to travel to by airplane.
UF to Dallas is 16 hours on google maps. They are in the game almost every year. We probably shouldn't put it across the country from them. Baton Rouuge to Atlanta is basically half that distance.

I realize that, but about 4 out of 5 years someone from the SEC game will be in the Sugar. The loser has gone to the Sugar 2 of the last 3 years.
NOLA already has the Sugar, you don't deserve the SEC as well. This is ridiculous.

If the SEC champ game was ever played outside of Atlanta, the ACC would jump in and make the Georgia Dome the permanent home for their champ. game. Take a look at the ACC's followings for their championship games. The ACC's attendance was never what they hoped it to be and they even rotated their championship games among various cities. If the SEC leaves Atlanta, the ACC will immediately sign a lifelong contract with the city of Atlanta.

Disagree. Do not move it from Katlanta.

Keep it in Atlanta. If it's not broke, don't fix it.

So Dallas isn't a great airport hub?
If you're going to make a point about drive time distances, don't mix in flight time distances. It screws up your whole argument.

I have a fantastic idea...how about we just keep the game in Atlanta

So is this thread the official start of the offseason or do we have to wait for the first "Its not fair that LSU has FL as a permanent cross-division opponent" thread?

Do LSU fans really travel that badly? Does the SECCG have to be within 4 hours for LSU to fill an allotment?

You would love that wouldn't you? Birmingham to Atlanta is what, 3 hours and 10 minutes?

That being said, I see Chick-fil-a moving themselves into position for BCS Bowl. They seriously know what they are doing as far as making themselves a big name in college football.
Jerry says no.

Its a great airport hub AND in the southeast. It is better for driving than Dallas and better for flying than every other city in the southeast. Chicago is a great hub too... but its in the north. It meets both driving and flying standards. You shouldn't move the game outside of the southeast.
